Hey featherweights, I decided to hold off "introducing" myself here till I had less than 20 lbs to lose (not necessary, but it gave me extra motivation!)
Anyways, 23 lbs later and all my clothes still fit. I have to budget for a gym membership, but I plan on doing yoga and kickboxing, for now I increased my walking from 1.5 hours to 3.5 hours a day.
I hope that the next 19 lbs will make a difference

hi pixellate, I have no clue what your starting weight and current weight are and how tall you are, but I doubt it makes no difference! Maybe it's not super obvious, but for me my waistline returned and I could fit into smaller jeans. I can still fit into my bigger ones also, but they get a bit baggy.
Other than that I don't feel like new, I still have a belly and my legs are still like jello. But people tell me I look good. I can't even imagine what I'll look like once the last 20lbs are gone. But I am already halfway decent I think.
Hey there! I am 5' 3'' (i'm gonna double check at my physical in 2 weeks) and was 155-159 when I made my ticker, been losing and regaining for awhile now-I was higher than that before going on 3FC, but I was in pjs that I dont own anymore so I can't compare =(
I am trying to get back down to around the 110s.
I guess that it saves money at least...no need for new pants
My guess is that the smaller your frame is and the shorter you are, the more the last 20 pounds make a difference. You have less of 'you' to spread out the weight, so when you lose it, you will see bigger inches lost than say someone who is 6' and has a large frame.
Plus, everyone here has said it's the last 20 pounds that make the biggest difference in appearance. Which I'm going to assume also makes the biggest difference in clothing sizes too. I'll let you know as I get there (though I'm not a feather weight - I'm average height (or a bit taller) and large framed with sizable boobs).

I'm very tall so I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but yes, the last 20 lbs. have made a HUGE difference in how I feel. In fact, with each few pounds that I lose, I feel a lot different than when I would lose 5 or 10 lbs. when I was heavier. I just think the closer you are to goal, the more noticeable the difference is when you lose even a little (not that 20 lbs. is a little at all...but you know what I mean). So great that you posted here! I still feel a bit funny posting in featherweights because I think if featherweights as skinny waif types, but I think it's all in the mind and how you feel....I've been made to feel very welcomed here no matter what my ticker says.

This makes me happy because we have very similar weight goals!
I've not hit goal yet, so I'm not sure if I'm qualified to answer, but the last 20 pounds have made a world of difference on me. I've gone down at least 2 clothing sizes, and quite frankly have lost roughly 10 inches (overall) so it's been a huge change in what I look like.
My work pants are again hanging on for dear life, but I'm determined not to replace them just yet (I'll probably take them to a tailor first) and even my small size tops are getting a bit baggy.
I suppose it does depend on your height and weight goals, but for me, the next 20lbs are HUGE. I should go from a comfortable size 10 to a size 6. I should go from looking chunky to looking fit. At 130lbs, I'm comfortable in my body, if not as thin as I'd be ideally. At 150lbs, I feel too big all over.
Have you heard of the paper towel roll analogy? At first -- and through a good number of sheets, actually, the circumference doesn't seem to get much smaller. Eventually you can see the roll shrinking... and at the end of that roll, just a couple sheets makes a BIG difference. The last sheets are the same exact size as the first couple that were torn off, but it's much easier to see them.
Think of your pounds as sheets, and yourself as the paper towel roll. The next few lbs will be a lot more apparent than the first few you lost.
My original weight-loss goal was 132 lbs when I was starting out and I definitely felt the difference going from 152 -> 132. It's when I really started noticing the change and getting comments left and right.
I was also fitter and stronger and I could see it in my workouts.
At our height, going from the 130s to the 110s is a HUGE difference. I look very different than I did back then and I also feel like a dropped more weight than 20lbs. It felt SO DIFFERENT than going from 190 to 170 (which took me a lot less time and I only dropped around one pant size)
I'm 5'0", so a little bit shorter. (Well, technically 5' and 1/4", but who's counting, right?)
I agree with the paper towel theory totally. No one noticed (and it wasn't noticeable to me) when I first started losing. But now that I'm losing the last few pounds, it's making a huge difference.
20 pounds? You'll definitely see/feel the difference, and so will everyone else!
