I need to join this thread for accountability. I have been such a flip flopper over this last year and I am ready to start kicking my own butt again. I am going to the gym 5 days a week and feeling good about the exercise part. Now for the eating part. I am going on protein shakes 2 times a day and a healthy dinner as a way to jump start my program. I need to lose 50lbs and have a wedding to go to in july. Hopefully will be down alot by then.

I need to exercise more! Going to be doing some gardening today (lots of digging) so that'll be good.

Hope everyone's doing great!

Rie! Thanks again for taking initiative. These board would be a mess without you

Leila - oh, nice! Is it weather for gardening already in Ireland? Here it rains and stuff.

I've been offtrack since carnival. I know I need to reach this place in my mind where I am fed up with myself before I can kick it back into gear again. But it's so had this time around because I also quit redbull and am therefor not super energetic. And there's not been sunshine in days either. Anyhow. March is a new chance.

philana It's surprisingly dry today but that's meant to change. I have a polytunnel so it's a little warmer in there. Mostly digging it over and weeding it but the garlic has been planted and some potatoes were coming up themselves. We had a really really mild Winter though. Some days in December were as warm or warmer than days we had in August. Like 13C I wish we'd had some snow though!

Do you grow food?

LeilaJey Oooh, fresh garlic. I wish I had a little plot of land for gardening. I live in an upstairs apartment and the most I can do is put some terracotta pots with herbs in someone else's yard.

philana, I hear you. We don't really celebrate carnival here, but two clients sent King Cakes to our office during carnival to set out in the break room. I told my co-workers that the first two were just to put us off our guard, and if we got a third one it was sure to be a bomb.

Hey Rie, are you still Stateside?

Everything's been much better here since my last rant in the February thread (sorry about that, guys). The boyfriend's now working full-time from home as webmaster for a great company, so he's able to pay me back and my cat can have the vet care she needs.

In other news, I'm still reading that great book about willpower and it's making losing weight unbelievably easier.

Hey everyone, just a quick one! I am indeed still in the States, I leave on Tuesday so I'm starting to get a bit sad. But to be honest I'm getting a bit fed up of the boyfriends parents and I'm really looking forward to seeing the bf when we're both in Japan, so I'm using it to make me feel better about leaving! But I've had such a great time, don't get me wrong.

My weight has gone up by 2 lbs (since I checked yesterday) so it could have been a LOT worse. I haven't been exercising for about...5 days? So I'm slacking a bit at the last hurdle. Insanity has started to get a bit tedious since it takes up SO much time (that I'd rather spend doing something with the boy!) and I'm really ready to start running again.

Anywhoot, that's about it from me!

Hey everyone im back! Got back today from my little vacation to the Casino with my mom ended up spending a couple days after that at her house with my son to visit the fam and see my neice and stuff... it was nice to get away for awhile and not have to worry about getting up early and taking care of someone elses bodily functions and well being lmao...

anyways havent weighed in since like the 26th?? but today when i got home I was 218.5lbs so thats good... with eating all that I did (free buffet at casino) and having drinks (many) and eating a little off at mums and not exercising besides a swim and quick workout at casino im so glad to see i havent really gained... so heres to March ....

On a side note not weight related... I was telling everyone before about my brother and his girlfriend going back to school after the baby... well they kind of got stuck for a sitter to watch my niece as her friend backed out so I am now babysitting during the week my son and my niece from 7am until her dad gets off work and picks her up and brings her home probably around 4pm... going to be busy busy busy keeping up with two 9 month olds lmao... if the exercise this month dont make me reach goal I think running after these two will :P But regardless Im pretty excited too see her more and that the two little ones will be able to see each other more... and I could use the money ...little bonus... and ill be helping them out so they can go to school... so win win win all around...

Not much else going on besides that right now but I guess well see what pops up Have a good day everyone!

Yay March!

Candice- by The Casino, do you mean Casino as in Monte Cassino? Sounds like you did well on your trip away. 2 9 month olds sounds insanely busy! But probably heaps rewarding?

Rie- do you live in Japan normally or are you visiting? Sounds like you've done well on your trip away too!

Bop- glad that things are starting to work out!

philana- how long have you been off the red bull for? It can take a while to start feeling good again I reckon. After a sugar filled YEAR its been about 2 weeks and I still feel awful in the afternoons without some kind of sugar hit. But every day is a little bit better than the one before

As for me, just plodding along. I've lost about 1.2kg in a week, which is a bit scary (but also exciting!) but I guess thats what you get when you go from 2 million calories of sugar, to 1200 calories of protein, fat and carbs lol. Now that ive finished my internship, I'm looking for jobs and doing lots of wedding planning (omg photography is a nightmare!!!!!!!!) and I just applied to graduate for the last time ever.

Unless I do my PhD

welcome sun!

philana you’re so close to goal! You can do it! Quitting redbull will prob take a little while but you should get energy back soon enough

leilajey fresh is the best! My dad runs a heritage site with gardens in the summer and I love going to visit and going ‘grocery shopping’.

bopbot I’m happy to hear you were able to get all the money issues worked out and your cat go to the vet. What book are you reading? My willpower comes and goes and I wish I could make it easier.

riestrella wow that trip seemed quick to me even. Yea it must be rough visiting with parents. When I moved back home my ex didn’t like coming to visit here as much. I didn’t see the big deal, it’s not like they were telling him what to do, but I could see how it would be frustrating. Is it just because of close proximity or are they doing something? I’m proud of you, only going up 2 lbs is amazing. You rock

Candice glad you had a good vacation and got to relax. That’ll be lots of work to babysit your niece but it’s nice of you plus you can spend time with her that maybe you wouldn’t have gotten before. Yay for win wins all around.

iconised congrats on the loss!

It’s been a pretty tame week school wise, only one midterm so I got to catch up on my recorded shows a little bit. I haven’t been very motivated when it comes to school, though most of my midterm marks were good. I had a bad eating weekend, with too many liquid calories, then deciding it was ok to eat junk, then using that as an excuse to binge on Sunday. But I got right back to it on Monday, haven’t faced the scale yet.

Hey everyone! I've been stalking the site for a while now, but this is my first post and I just began my weight loss journey this week! So far, so good, I've been counting calories and getting to the gym more and have lost 2 lbs already. My goal is for Mid-may to be 15 pounds down for my birthday and graduation...hopefully it's doable for me. Any suggestions or tips are welcomed :-)

iconised ghost- Nope Casino Windsor... my mom got a couple free rooms so we went from Sunday night until Tuesday afternoon.... it was great to get away... And yes two 9 month olds will be a challenge but theyre both such great kids that ill just love doing it and getting to spend more time with her everyday...
Congrats on the weight loss I wish I could get past my plateau right now of 218lbs. :/ Congrats on graduation too... I DO NOT miss school at all... omg i would never go back to that again... unless it got me something like a million dollar paying job lmao

torito- For sure a lot to handle but im up for the challenge and some quality time No worries about the weekend... we all slip up and you got right back to it on Monday so thats all the matters...

jwalk- welcome to the group!!! you wont find more motivating people anywhere then you do in this group... thats a great goal and completely doable.. my suggestion would be to eat better and exercise obvs but pace yourself... dont go crazy and try to do everything at once cause it will get overwhelming and more then likely people quit like that... so if you drink pop cut back or cut out... if you already exercise.... add a little more to it every week or add walking or another exercise or something... add a couple healthy foods to your diet every week that you wouldnt normally eat... AND DRINK WATER... GOOD GOD DRINK WATER, LOTS OF IT!!!

So not much going on today did my walk and exercise this morning... heading to the store later on today to get Aidens Big Easter gift.... i dont know if everyone remember the big plastic play kitchens with fake food and utensils and things... well they have a BBQ for boys on sale today for half off... comes with fake spatula, and chicken and burgers and veggies and stuff ... mustard containers and ketchup ...its so cute so were getting that. he will absolutely love it... other then that nothing else going on.
