Default Trying SOOOO hard to control myself

As the title says, tonight I´m trying sooo super hard to control myself, but I would do just about anything to eat an entire chocolate cake, a dozen donuts and a pint of Ben & Jerry´s tonight....Every second I feel like I am going to die...hahaha

You ever have those moments......

FREQUENTLY.

i try not to have such things in the house. maybe some chocolate in the freezer to have occasionally. i just try to focus my energy on other things to keep my hands and mind busy... like reading, writing (i blog about life as a preacher's wife), knitting, crocheting, doing a jigsaw puzzle, playing a video game, harassing the cats, or lately just doing some kind of exercise. burn the calories instead of consuming them.

typically my insane craving for something sweet can be curbed in a handful of calories with hard candy.

I got a nice big wakeup call with my last cholesterol test - my LDL hit a personal record high of 200. All I have to do is think of that number on the postcard, and all thoughts of junky food go right out the window. Bigger priorities, I guess, can trump the whiny inner child!

It is hard to do, today I sat at a chinese buffet and watched my coworkers eat in front of me! It was so painful! BUT I feel proud, and I think the more you pass up those things and learn to say no..the easier it gets. It does take some time though!

Love the Fiber One brownies! They fit the bill when I crave an entire chocolate cake.

Everytime I start to crave for some sweets I try to go to bed (if I am at home), turn on TV (preferably a DVD, so I am not distracted with some food ads) and try to forget about the cravings or even try to fall asleep.
