Default Curtain/Valance advice

Our windows look so boring in our house and we have wooden blinds right now and I want something up....but I'm just not sure. Any advice?

I was thinking some sort of see through fabric as a swag valance?

i'm not an interior designer, but if you want to continue with your theme of black/white/wood some sheer white gauzy drapes would look good. or if you are looking to add a color, maybe use something that's in a prominent decoration. the wall hangings between the windows look like they have some yellow...

I have allergies and asthma. I like what you have. LOL.

The less fooo foo catching the dust the better!

But I could see a nice white cotton sheer over to minimize glare but still let in lots of light when you raise the blinds.

I like what you have. Itīs simple. If I were to do anything to your room, I would prob. paint a wall or two a color that stands out! I painted one wall in my living room chocolate, and it changed everything!

I can't see the wooden blinds. Are they vertical or horizontal. Are they venetian blinds ? One problen is your windows are different sizes. I would pick something to unify the windows, probably to the floor draw drapes. they could be any fabric that you like.

They are horizontal blinds.

Our windows are actually all the same size. The ones on the end just open so they kind of look funny.

One of the posters mentioned asthma, and my son does have asthma. Forgot about all the dust collectors. lol. thanks!
