August Exercise Challenge!
Hi all,
I'm going to be starting the challenge for August for Semo, hopefully she'll be back w/ us for the September challenge. Here are the rules:
"Please calculate the number of minutes that you will exercise for the entire month and post them here. Then each day that you exercise subtract that amount and show the remaining minutes."
ALL NEWBIES WELCOME! and regulars lets get to posting!
Kathy

Do you count toning/weight lifting excercises and yoga as part of the minutes?

yeah!!!
I was hoping there was going to be an August Challenge! I'm in!
My goal for August - 1560 minutes
It's alot, but I'm aiming for 360 minutes a week...
Ruby - I would say if you consider it to be exercise, then it is exercise! I certainly would count yoga, toning, and weight lifting as exercise!!

Hi Kitkat,
I decreased my numbers last month and still came up short by a 160 minutes but no need to cry over what wasn't done, just move on and try to do better this month.
It real hard to set a goal because I'm going through so much right now, I'm trying to find a new full time job and I'm working a part time job already. But I know I need to get some exercise in even if it's only three days a week.
Well, I guess I'll lower it and see what happens.
Auguest challenge: 1000 minutes

Okay, I'm up for it.
I don't think I'll get up to the 1000 minutes, but I'm eager to see how close I can get.

I want to do 30 minutes a day for 6 days a week doing cardio and 30 minutes on the weights for 6 days a week. I want to loose 10 lbs by the end of the month. Short term goal is to loose 2 lbs a week. How does that sound??

Good afternoon,
I finally got into the gym today and it was refreshing! I haven't worked out since the earlier part of last week.

HI, I am delighted to join this thread. My goal for the month is 1440. I have done 240 minutes so far. I just switched from YMCA to Ballys since Ballys was much cleaner and offerend child care all day compared to YMCA's 5-9pm schedule. I was unable to go during that time since I have night classes. Now, I should be able to workout just about every day at Ballys. I need ya'lls support to keep me going.
1440/240/1200
I would love to lose 4 pounds by the end of this month!
