Default newbie vegi chubster

Hi there - is there somewhere on the veggie threads where everyone goes??
I've been a veggie for 30 years , bordering on vegan at times, but couldnt give up the choccie and occasional cream and cheese as well as eggs.
Very strict about my diet other than this, no gelatin, animal byproducts etc etc.

I had myself weighed 2 weeks ago (though I asked for them to keep a note and not tell me!) and lost 6 pounds in the first week.

Living on 1 egg+ 3 whites + small piece of wholemeal bread for breakfast

Celery and pumpkin seed butter for moorning snack

Half a pot of low fat cottage chees and 6 rye crackers for lunch

a banana as afternoon snack

Quorn or tofu and veg for dinner

Plus lots of vitamins and a green smoothie of barley grass powder and psyllium husk for extra fibre.

This has turned my previous carb heay diet on its head and for the first time ever i am not hungry, yet am only eating 1000-1200 a day.

Also doing 30 mins+ cardio a day plus a once a week weights session at the gym.

I reckon I have about 80 lbs to lose, but i could get there like this if i set mysefl mini goals

Oh BTW, weight gain caused by bingeing periods with very stressfull job + wedding stress + fertility treatment (3failed ivfs - plus 6 months steroids) + back injury keeps recurring every time i get myself in the weight losss zone!!!

1000-1200 cal/day is low, though your food sounds pretty healthy. I would feel veggie-color deprived, though : ) I don't know that there is one "place" where lots of people go. I'm a not fully veggie but border on it; I read several different boards pretty regularly.

Oh, the signature is configured under "user cp" in the upper left corner.
