Hi everyone

I just started this week using the 1600 calorie lowfat plan. 1600 sounds like a lot to me but is what they recommended per my profile. They also said to add 2 cups of skim milk which is another 140 calories. so hmmmmmm

It is all about the portion control for me. Was shocked though not surprised at the orange juice portion size(slaps forehead at previous" normal "serving)
They need to give me things that I can't or wouldn't make to keep my interest-I just can't justify paying these prices for grocery shelf items like yogurt and bagels. We shall see.

Hi, 2Bees, and welcome! Glad to hear you are trying DTG--let us know how you like it. I think the food is really good and I like the variety.

Cheers,

J

Hi 2bees!!

I hope you like DTG!!! I really enjoy it, and most of the food is really good! The site recommended I also do the 1600 calorie diet, but I order the 1200 and add some snacks of fruits (I crave fruit quite a bit throughout the day). If you have any questions, please let us know, I'm sure one of us can help, everyone on this thread is really nice! Let us know how everything is going! Good luck!!

Thanks for the welcome.

I've been adding a salad of just lettuce and cucumber with 20cal for 2tbl of dressing vinaigrette. Hope that is allowed. And I made sugar free jello for today.

Hi all I just ordered my first order and I am a bit nervous as I am a picky eater with a seafood allergy. I have noted this when making changes.

I was wondering I love Yoplait light yogurt is this acceptable to eat between meals if I am hungry?

I think after the first week I may go to lunch and dinners only because I am not a huge breakfast eater.

Any ideas on helping stay on track?

I just wanted to check in and say I dropped the DTG plan after 4 weeks.
I could not face another black box of food. The whole thing felt like eating leftovers from a restaurant you did not want to go to in the first place.

I have never balked at eating vegetables till confronted with overcooked peppers and brussel sprout like that.I lost less then 5lbs in the month.

Each person has a different take on the food but it was not worth the cost or the solution for me. BB

Hi. I'm Carol. I just got my first shipment today. Had the stir-fry chicken for dinner, and it was pretty good. I was surprised at how big the meal was too.

Looking forward to meeting people here!

Is anyone still here? Or any new members? I'd love to find some people doing this plan to share with. I've managed to stick to plan for four days so far, and it's working out pretty well...but it's lonely here!

Carrie sorry you don't have a lot of folks to help encourage you. I think almost everyone who does the meal delivery plan only uses them for a limited time and moves on.

I did not like having to eat the chosen meal every day-I felt like I was eating leftovers from restaurant meals-the vegetables were overdone and the meats bland. Still if you like the meals you are getting it does keep your portions under control-and that is a really big deal.

Look at the first post of this thread-it links to the 2009 DTG thread where there is a pretty lively discussion. Not live/current support but may have good info for you. And keep posting-say the good and bad- other people will read what you think and it might help them. If you quit-post your review before you go... it helps.

Good luck on your journey!
ps I switched to the Sonoma diet. Not a lot of activity there either, but the plan is good-it would please my doctor. And I have lost 12lb(five of that was on Diets to go)

Instead of letting these threads go to 500, it might be a good idea to just start a fresh one each year. It's only like a week into 2012, so now would be a good time to start.... just saying.
