Sorry everyone, mini vent. I feel six feet onto my bum on a concrete floor this morning and fractured my foot and my spine (just the bone not the cord) not only is this upsetting my holiday but I won't be able to exercise for months! So much for meeting my goal weight
I'm around family and my boyfriend though...so that is nice.
Merry Christmas!!
Yikes! I really feel for you. I had a huge foot fracture a few years ago and I wasn't able to work out for a loooong time. I know it's a bummer, but keep in mind that how you eat is for weight loss and your exercise is more for fitness. You can totally do this. Don't let this give you an excuse to eat poorly when you're doing so great! Btw, if you eat lots of fresh, raw foods, I think that will help you recover faster. Please take care of yourself and enjoy your loved ones. You have so much to be grateful for, since you injured your back, things could have been MUCH worse! Double Yikes!
I was suffering massively not too long ago with a broken collarbone - I can only imagine how much much pain you are in! I'm so sorry.
I agree with luckymommy, weight loss and management is mostly about the food. In addition - you can work on your arm strength when you start feeling better.
Hey thanks everyone! I'm a huge clutz, I was standing on top of a bed reaching for something and fell backwards onto my bum on the floor, which is linoleum on top of concrete.
I used to dance and had a major knee injury 3 years ago and needed 3 surgeries..I was on crutches for a year and gained 20lbs and went up six sizes..I'm just getting back in shape finally and this happens!! You guys are right I just need to eat well and watch my calories.
You poor thing, that sounds horribly painful and inconvenient. The others are right - I personally have lost a quarter of my body weight without doing any exercise whatsoever.
You can be doing toning bands and chair exercises today. You can lift weights while sitting. You can do chair yoga. I had foot surgery the day before Thanksgiving, haven't been allowed on my foot yet and have lost 4 pounds. I have titanium plates in my foot so the toes will never bend again so I will have to modify my exercise.
