Hi! I'm new to this specific forum on 3FC. I'm wondering if anyone has read Made to Crave! It is one of my most favorite books. I'm not into touchy-feely type of books, so I'm glad this is not that kind (though it sounds like it might be). It also doesn't tell you what to eat or how. It's about how food can be a barrier between you and God and the person he wants you to be. Super cool book...easy read. Check it out!
I have also read this book and it definitely opened my eyes to how I was putting food and deteriorating thoughts before God. I am so glad I read it and am going to read it again myself. Is there a study group online, does anyone know?
A friend of mine recommended this book, but I have been dragging my feet on it. I always buy books, read the first few chapters, and then stop. I guess I need to just buy it - and complete it this time.
{EDIT} Just ordered it! {/EDIT}

I've been reading it on my kindle. I want to buy a hard copy so I can highlight and underline and go back and back again and again. She really has some good insight and it helps me to have something to pick up when I'm feeling tempted to go eat a bowl of ice cream or bag of chips.
I just bought this today, actually! I was going over shelf after shelf of Christian inspiration books at B&N and this was the first and only book that stood out to me; so I got it.
Tomorrow I will begin a 21-day Primal challenge and I hope that the insights in this book will help me in my journey. I'm glad others have had success with it! I could use some of God's perspective in this area, that's for sure.
I also have this book, and have been wanting to read it, but am involved in a women's group where we are doing a different book.
I can see many of these posts are really old, but I would think if there are 3 or 4 of us who want to work through this book together on this thread, we surely could do it.
We would just have to pick a time frame to start and how long to read the chapter and how long to discuss it, before moving on.
Someone would need to head it up, I could or any of you who have been here longer than me. Just chime in if you are interested.
Ellie what is your "plan" are you on a particular diet? Happy to find like-minded folks to support each other

Well, at the time the post was written I was doing WW. I've had a series of setbacks here. Things going on with the family etc. That I can no longer afford WW. Now that things have settled down a bit and I realize that I need to take care of ME no matter what - I'm getting serious. I'm going to do WW at home - since I have all the books etc. I've dug out my Made to Crave and PrayFit.
