  • Crew neck tee shirts puffy sleeves (especially short sleeves/cap sleeves which puff
  • Anything with ruffles/puffs on the bust
  • Skinny jeans... my calves and thighs are too muscular
  • I also can't wear skirts that end at the knees. But skirts that end JUST above the knee or below the knee are fine.
  • Maxi skirts
  • Bikinis - I will always need at least a skirted full bathing suit because of pregnancy stretch marks which go almost to my lower bra line, and loose skin on my thighs.
  • short shorts - or ANY shorts, for that matter - loose thigh skin and spider veins galore
  • Short shirts - I like tunic length or at least ones that come over my hips. Fitted is OK, but short is NOT
  • Boot-cut jeans make me look like a midget
  • Low-rise jeans at any weight and I have a muffin top.
  • Flouncy skirts - I used to wear these but they look stupid on me now that I'm older
  • Ankle strap pumps - again, great for dancing in but the make me look even shorter
  • "Chunky" shoes make me look like a clutz
  • Sleeveless tops - I wear these sometimes but I have bat wing skin flaps on my arms.
  • Strapless dresses - skin flaps on my arms. Besides, strapless bras never stay up.
  • Anything belted at the waist - but I look GREAT in a hip belt
  • Skin-tight dresses. Even when I was a size 0, my tummy pooched out. I can only imagine what would happen now.

Hi shr1nk1ngme

this is quite funny because i think we're somehow the opposite!

(I go in and out a lot on torso, but not enough on knees/ankles!)

  • short shorts - or ANY shorts, for that matter - loose thigh skin and spider veins galore i probably shouldn't wear any shorts either as i have fat knees, but short ones are best because long ones make me look shorter

  • Flouncy skirts - I used to wear these but they look stupid on me now that I'm older don't really have any, but think they'd be ok

A fitted jacket/blazer in my "real" size or a dress that zips up in the back.

I have a wide back and broad shoulders. If I buy anything that doesn't stretch (i.e. a winter jacket, a blazer) I need to get it two sizes larger because it can't accomodate my shoulders and back otherwise. I had to buy a jacket recently in a large just so I could actually move my arms! It was big everywhere else. This happened when I was obese too.

I just avoid dresses that zip up, I always did. Otherwise I'll have to spend quite a bit of money getting it altered for the same reasons as above. I've found dresses fit perfectly until I have to zip it up around my bust! Going up two sizes means the rest of the dress is too big....
