Default Onions and Peppers

I am new to all of this but can you really not eat yellow onions and red peppers? That seems a little extreme but maybe that is just me. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Welcome lamoni! I dont know why in the world you couldnt eat red peppers! Onions, in larger quantity, do add some carbs. I have had both anyway. In fact, Traders Joes has a frozen onion and pepper combo that I really love with grilled chicken sausages. I just had that this past week. You're right, this program is kind of extreme, and some of the rules dont make a lot of sense. Like fruit at lunch - not at breakfast....really? But for the most part, I try to do it like they say...

lamoni...
To be successful, you need to only eat what is on your menu plan and eat the food when it says to eat it.. I am on maintenance now, but when I first started, I did as they requested. There is a reason they do this. Probably the sugar and carb count have a lot to do with it, but ask your consultant and she will explain what their reasons are.. Wish you the best of luck in your new challenge and please get involved in the main forum and ask any questions you have.

Red, yellow and orange peppers have more sugars in them than green. Not that you can really tell with the red (imo) but you can tell with the orange.

I am with Patzi on this...many rules don't make sense to us...but the whole program operates the way that it does for a reason....and it works. The result of making exceptions will be slower weight loss.

They told me the difference between the onnions is more suger. Once you reach goal you slowly reintroduce all the things youve had to do without, but in moderation.

At my center,I can eat green onions and green peppers. It might have something to do with what menu you are on. You would think all centers would be the same.

I would like to ask you a question? Is there something upon hitting goal and stating maintence that they want you to waer a black dress? Just curious.
