Default 20 Pounds lost

It has taken twelve weeks but I have reached my first major goal of losing twenty pounds.

I usually set myself smaller goals, but at 20 pounds is where my reward system kicks in. Will wait another week to to be sure that I don't gain any weight before I reward myself.

I weighed myself this morning and am sitting at 281.98 pounds, down from 302.58. I also weighed myself on two separate digital scales just to make sure that I was reading the scale correctly.

Next goal is thirty pounds.

Got to go and eat that apple!

Take care.

Congrats, Wayne, on that first 20 pounds gone. Gone forever!

What reward have you planned for yourself?

Thanks everyone.

Twenty pounds is a good start for me, considering I have never lost this much weight on any diet before.

It is amazing how much easier a diet seems when you have your head screwed on correctly and you blog about your weight loss journey.

My ultimate goal is one hundred pounds.

As for my first reward to myself, I intend going away for a few days to relax. No telephones, televisions or fast-food chains.

Just me at a game lodge listening to nature.

Going to look for a box of apples for my trip!

I waited a few weeks to see that I did not gain any weight before I treat myself to a few days away.

Well... during the past two weeks I have gained 0.21 pounds and lost 1.11 pounds respectively.

Lost basically 0.9 pounds in two weeks. If this is the rate at which I am going to lose weight, I am going to be dieting well into my eighties.

At least things are still moving in the right direction.

I am going away tomorrow, and just hope that I don't find that 0.9 pounds at the game reserve.

So is it your last diet ever because since you'll be on it into your 80's you'll be too old to start another one? Just kiddin'. I'll bookmark you blog.

I know a guy who took 5 years to lose 50 lbs. That's less than 1lb per month. I'm trying to lose a lot at a quick pace but it took me almost 20 years to get here. Shouldn't I expect it take 20 years to lose it?
