Hey everyone!! My husband and I started Ideal Protein a week ago. I have already lost 11.4 lbs and 11 inches all around, but I am having a really hard time staying motivated! Its crazy to think that food has so much hold on me... like its my drug. Im sure im not alone in this! I hope to god I can stick with this program, since I have had a hard time sticking to anything! I was bulimic for 5 years so I did see the other side...the thin side and i want it so bad...but n ow I have to learn how to do it the healthy way! 100 lbs seems daunting but I am going to go read some positive messages on here now... Just wanted to say Hi! Thanks for this website..It's so amazing!! Bye loves!

Hello Everyone, Im new! I am on Dya 2 of Ideal Protein and have already learned to be more prepared, i dont have lunch breaks and i work a second job over the dinner hours. I know it wont take as much prep time as i go along. My first day was awful, as i forgot to pack vitamins for the day, just the food, and had no extra salt with me - got worst headache ever!
Im really excited to have found this forum, everyone is super encouraging! I love the foods so far, but i know if i start getting bored, looks there are so many amazing recipe ideas!

I agree with Jelly, don't think of it as 100lbs just take it 10lbs at a time and you will be amazed that you will be there in no time. Reward yourself for every 10lbs you lose, I myself buy a charm for my pandora bracelet and NEVER take it off. I am constantly reminded of all of the hard work I have done in 25 weeks. YOU CAN and WILL do it...one lb at a time. Remember this is a lifestyle change NOT a diet!!

Welcome to both of you and good luck!

I agree with the other girls... just take it 10lbs at a time. And you will be amazed how quick you loose the 10lbs, then another 10lbs.

This program is the best I have ever been on (and I've been on a LOT!) I love it!

Welcome, and congratulations on your first week OP! Make sure you read the boards, everyone here is so motivational and can help you thru the "bad" days.

Default Welcome

Hi,
Like others, I have tried A LOT of different programs. This is the easiest so far. It is so simple to follow, and I am not bored of the food. I have been doing this for exactly one month tomorrow, and I am 25 lbs down.

Thinking ahead about meals definitely helps.

Finally, since I started this diet, I have realized how much food is advertised on TV. I never noticed it before, but it seems like 50% of commercials are selling food (and unhealthy food at that).

Keep going and DON'T cheat. I swear you'll see fast results if you stay on plan. You will love going in for your weekly weigh ins and seeing the lbs drop.

Kate it does sound like a lot, lets be honest it is. But I will say after you being to lose the first amount of weight you will FEEL better, you'll enjoy the change and that will hopefully motivate you to stick with it. Easy? I won't say it is easy, but having your husband doing it too should help. The biggest challenge for my wife and I is having all the foods around that the kids eat. We're not doing IP together but she's doing what works for her.

The first week you see amazing results, after that they slow down some. But the first couple of weeks are the hardest, after a month you get into a routine that makes it sooooo much easier (at least it has for me).

Stay positive and remind yourself that YOU want this, not the pressure for anyone else, it's YOUR choice!

Good luck and welcome aboard

Hi eveyone, I have been doing the program for about a month and a half now. I do well with breakfast and lunch, but when it comes time for dinner I just don't feel like eating more vegetables, any ideas to trick my brain? I feel I am doing well, I have lost 25lbs so far, but think I could do much better.
