You don't have much to lose, so people should start noticing pretty soon.

Me? It took losing almost 30 pounds before I got my first unsolicited compliment. When you have a lot to lose, it doesn't show much until you've lost a significant amount. But when you only have 20 to 30 pounds to lose (not trying to make it seem like that is a piece of cake or anything), people start to notice when you've lost your first 8-10 pounds. So get ready to get those compliments!

Congratulations to you!

That's so great!! We have similar weight loss goals, so I know how it feels to lose those first 5lbs, especially when you have so little to lose!! Way to go, and here's to hoping we can keep it going!

Talking second glances are great!

You should be getting glances and "the questions" soon (Are you on a diet?... or Are you losing weight?... or I hope your not sick.)

I am a teacher and lost 43 lbs before school ended in May of 2011... a couple of people noticed... but I was still wearing the same old clothes and didn't get to show off my new self... This summer - I worked really hard to lose an additional 30 lbs.. and lost gobs of inches by exercising and walking everyday!! When I went back to school in late Aug... you should have seen all of the second glances and long looks I got.. !! Totally worth it!!!! Still losing and loving every lb. I lose.. New clothes too!!
