- I had a healthy day yesterday... always grateful for that.

- Mom's cousins (her age, they are my cousins too!) are coming to town next weekend. She is so, so excited.

- busy weekend ahead - Saturday BBQ here with SIL, cousins, mom, & Aunt Mackie

- roasted veggies yesterday and made some spinach soup

Today I am grateful for:
+ another glorious summer day
+ a relaxed week with good night sleeps
+ several niggles got done with very little effort
+ a great evening at "The Help" with three friends
+ no meetings all week!
+ printed the Church bulletin with no printer problems
+ four more days without commitments before the rush begins
+ time to read my book on the porch
+ the tomato avalanche is abating
+ I think I have blocked Jazz's escape routes under the dog fence

Ruth... pretty avatar!

- we had a wonderful time last yesteday - SIL came down. Later our cousins and Aunt Mackie came over for dinner. Aunt Mackie didn't feel so good.... but, she came over because SIL was here. It pushed herself to do it. However, my mom didn't feel good enough to come over. (phooey)

- I ate unplanned ice cream last night - but, that doesn't mean I should over eat for the next week.... I am grateful.

- some rain here is good. It should stop, however, be Monday's cookout with the neighbors

- I know that people really care about me - what a blessing to feel that

- I stayed with my plan yesterday - even with the cookout here. DH brought home 36 chocolate candy bars for the s'mores. I freeked out. But, I gave the extra ones to the children to take home. I have four for my mom and they will be glad. Grateful to be willing to NOT eat all the candy bars. I did have a s'more - it about 150 calories. I ate it slowly and enjoyed every bite.

- fun cookout with neighbors. The kids are so darn cute.

- I am glad Mom lives so close now. I'll go over today and bring her all the 'doggie' bags of food from this weekend.

+ three humid and rainy days made me slow down

+ spent way too much time on accounting this weekend but did learn new things. Next year's report will be better.

+ nice visits with Karen, Joan and Shirlkeyanne - two IRL and one on the phone
+ pet therapy visits resume today - Jazz will love it
+ I'm aching this morning so am grateful for Advil!

+ my hearing aids are making a big difference - I clearly heard the speaker at garden club last night
+ feeling good about having so many ready to heat meals in the freezer
+ found a solution to the escaping dog problem
+ Donna comes to clean today
+ the summer folk are mostly gone and the Village is quieter
+ my garden continues to produce - the eggplant is nearly ready
+ once again, the rum cake was a huge hit at the garden club meeting

+ did not wake up with leg pain this morning - it must be healing
+ financial report for the quilt group meeting came together quickly
+ Donna came and cleaned
+ wee Lulu played with my dogs while D. was here - delightful to watch
+ got started on barn clean-up
+ forgave myself for 230 calories of Smarties!
+ time for a soak in the tub this morning

- a healthy day yesterday... always grateful for that and the willingness to keep trying

- Cousins from Georgia coming today for the football game. They are my mom's age. They will visit her tonight. She's excited.

- yesterday, when Mom was at her doctor appointment, I took that time waiting to work on me... did alot of journalling and reading of my Beck book.

- football season.. love it - especially college
