Good Morning Jalsa,

I'm sorry you slipped. Some spots along the way can really be slippery, huh? The good thing is that yesterday is long gone and we are in today now! And it's a BRAND SPANKIN NEW DAY!!! Sorry to be so sunshiney, but it's really true.

Be kind to yourself today. The absolute best thing you can do for yourself is to forgive yesterday and let it go. You are still you. You have NOT undone all the hard work of going 20 days binge free. You hit a slippery spot, that's ALL! Get right back on track today. You are still that same strong person committing to healthier living. Eat nice and clean today to be kind to your body and any water weight from yesterday's incident will be gone in no time flat.

I believe in you and I am here for you. We ALL are! Just please be kind to yourself today and forgive. Change those internal voices to accept yesterday and move forward from it today.

We're all in this together! Bring it in, people.

Day 23- My stomach felt better, so I over ate today. Went way over calories, no binge, just enjoying the moment.

I'm not sure if I should start over or not on my count. I haven't binged as I would normally binge, but I haven't been eating well, either. It's kind of a grey area where I have been eating whatever I want, horrible foods, for every single meal, but not binging as in taking in huge amounts of food. I think I will start over tomorrow just because it is day one of counting calories and holding myself accountable again.

Day 10. I disappeared from this thread because I fell off hard. i need to stop avoiding the issue.

0059500- we are pretty similar. I am also 5'0, and started off like your highest weight. Got down to 107 and actually thought I looked too thin(who would have figured!) haha! Now maintaining at 112-114. Main goal is no more insane binges

I am so happy to find this thread of posts. I have had a binge eating disorder since I was 17 (I am now 59), and it has been a long tough road to some kind of recovery. I subscribe to a book I found about overcoming overeating. The theory is that "legalizing" all foods stops the feast or famine mentality. I find that it works for me. Not perfect, but a good mind set for stopping the craziness. I have not binged in almost a year. Thanks for reading.

Hi everyone. It's been a long time. I've lost count but I am pleased to report that I haven't binged at all since being back in America. There have been a couple incidences of emotionally charged eating or overeating, but nothing resembling the "3 trips to 3 different stores for 5000 calories worth of junk food" binges I had living in Japan. I am back with my parents for the time being and it is much easier...I don't even notice the jars of peanut butter and packs of cookies and crackers etc because they're not "mine."

Today is day 9 for me. I tend to have various degrees of binging...two weekends ago I ate anything I could, any time that food was present. At no time was I secretly eating mass amounts of food in one sitting, but I never actually stopped eating.

When I lose the inability to stop eating junk food I do consider that a binge becuase I know I'm hurting myself, I'm not hungry, and I'm only trying to fill a void or avoid a problem. If someone tries to cut me off from the food I get mad, so I will sneak food items during the day/ evening.

These 9 days is the longest I've gone since May...in May I lasted 10 days with out having a binge...prior to that it must be a few years. It's sad, but I'm taking it one attentive day at a time.

Day 23- yesterday & today I over ate, but not ridiculously. It was more spread out throughout the day. Already gained weight, more to come I'm sure. I just can't stand the feeling of being too full, I can't believe I actually stuffed myself til sick so many times in the past. I did notice after a week or two of no binging, my stomach shrank. Can't eat as much at one time anymore, that's a good thing!
