Hi everyone! I am down 14lbs today and a super happy. Any weight I have been at, any diet I have done the first 10lbs always came off pretty easy. So this "extra" 4lbs is just awesome. I have been on Dukan just under a month. I am very stoked with the progress!

As for the weighing in thing. I find I am a bit obsessive and have to step on the scale every morning but after my whole overwatering mix up I have realized that even though I weigh myself every day I only count the weight every 3 or 4 days. This seems to work for me to keep the obsessive number monitor side of me happy but also keep myself motivated when the numbers sneak up the wrong way.

Hey does anyone know any really good snack ideas? I usually find it relatively easy to think of breakfast lunch and dinner ideas - but when it comes to snacks i struggle. I like to have something (preferably delicious) waiting there, to prevent me from wanting to search 'elsewhere' or just wanting desperately to demolish a bowl of cereal (btw does anyone else crave cereal on this plan? So strange!)

Mid afternoon has always been my danger-zone for feeling those awful pangs.

Also, does anyone know if canned chicken is ok? They say they are in 'lite mayo' but to be honest since i dont have the book i dont know what i should look for on the label to see whether its 'safe'. Appreciate any help

Happy dukaning everyone

Hi JenBear,

Every few days or so up I cook up turkey, chicken and sometimes make a roast. Then I cut them into bite size pieces and throw them in tupperware containers so I can grab a few pieces when I am feeling snackish. Also, thinly sliced smoked salmon with no fat cream cheese is a good idea.

You can do no fat yogurt and add cinnamon. I also slice up cucumbers and put them in vinegar and dill for veggie days.

Those are my suggests, hope it helps! I haven't craved cereal but I am missing milk chocolate like crazy!

I have hard boiled eggs as my afternoon snack just about every day. depending on how hungry I am, I either eat the yolks or toss them out.

other snacks - sliced low salt deli meat (nice because I can run out and pick some up at work if I have to). Laughing cow cheese wedges spread on cucumber slices. or cold meat I have cooked, like CanuckJ said.

I would stay away from canned chicken if it has any mayo in it.

I have also found that making a cup of hot tea with a generous dollop of milk and some low cal sweetener really helps take the edge off of any sweets cravings I have. I really am completely happy and satisfied after finishing a big cup!

DH and I did this a few months ago and lost some weight but, like what you said, way extreme.

we reached 500 posts so I started the new thread

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/othe...-part-2-a.html

And I'd also like to say that this is a thread for SUPPORT for people who are on Dukan, not to debate whether it's too extreme or not.

sugar free juice drinks (like crystal light) help me. I make a big pitcher of the iced tea + lemonade (two different packs). I also chew a lot of sugar free gum. Another snack I learned about this week: get a small sheet of parchment paper. Place 1/4 cup of fat free shredded cheese (I like cheddar) on the parchment. Sprinkle with black pepper and a bit of salt. You can garnish with herbs, garlic, or even a bit of parm. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 15 seconds. You get a crunchy, cheesy cracker. A favorite treat when I'm craving something different!
