Fitbit

So hubby got me a fitbit for my bday and it's all charges up and ready for my first day using it. I'm excited and can't wait to see my stats at the end of the day.:carrot:

Anyone have a fitbit?

I got one for Christmas and I love it

I just ordered one yesterday myself, my final decision to get one was for resting heart rate. I'm a non morning person who still must get up early and taking my resting hr before coffee is like climbing everest. Not possible! So I'll finally know after trying to figure out exactly what my target should be for the last week. Once I get it Tuesday that is.

this thing is really cool. I love it too merowi2. Nightsnacker I bet you'll be doing a whole lot more with it than your rhr. I watched a tutorial on it this evening and it does more than I originally thought

merowi2 and Nightsnacker, if either of you would like to be friends on Fitbit let me know and I will give you my email

wefroggy I think that's a great idea! Mine actually came early and I do love it so far but weekends are so hectic I haven't really leaned all the features yet. I certainly have no friends yet but I've seen there are features for that.

My resting heart rate is a mystery no more! Seems to be 70. I think thats bad. Also I guess I've been spending lots of my cardio in the peak zone which might be too intense. Still learning.

I have used a Fitbit for several years now. My first one I wore until it died (Fitbit Force) and now I use a Fitbit Charge HR. I actually leave the heartrate function turned off most of the time as the green laser I find distracting at night and plus it's a battery hog. But I love the step counter, the sleep tracker and the challenges. I wear mine 24 hours a day only taking it off to shower or to charge it. It has definitely helped me get more active- finding out that I was averaging less than 5K steps per day on a normal day was a huge wake up call. My target steps is 12K a day. I wish I could say I hit it every day, but I don't. But the Fitbit helps. I will see my number and go for a walk around the block, at least. I walk more in summer than winter- sometimes it's really hard to convince myself to go out in the cold and dark.
