Once a week, first thing in the morning.
...will get on the scale naked the next time ;) |
My "official" in home weigh in is once a week, on Mondays, first thing in the morning with minimal clothing. That is the number I record on my sheet - with total current weight, amount lost that week and total lost (and then I move beads from my "going" jar to my "gone" jar).
But I keep myself in check with several weigh-ins during the week. I find it encouraging to see the scale go down :carrot: |
I weigh myself almost everyday. If I know that I have not been good, then I wait 3 or 4 days to give me an opportunity to get back on track and not panic! I found that it takes about 2 days for "bad deeds" to show up!
|
oh, I forgot to say.... I always weigh myself at the same time after my morning routine and without any clothes on. I am very consistent about that! :)

I am weighing every morning, like most people thats starkers and after going to the loo :yikes:
I find it keeps me more accountable and I am hoping it acts as a bit of an angel on my shoulder when I am tempted to eat sugary sweets or chocolate that will push me over my calorie limit. I also love being able to update my ticker so if I weight every day and my weight goes down for 2 or 3 days in a row then I can update my ticker and thats a great feeling |
I've been weighing Monday mornings, first thing after the bathroom and starkers but if I know I had a bad weekend I just skip. Ignorance is bliss. Probably one of the reasons I lost and then gained back 20 of the 40 I had loss. After readings lots here I am going to try weighing daily and recording it MFP.

So do I. I thought I was crazy. :dizzy: |
Naked, or as they say on my planet, "blutt." Once a week. I do it just to make sure I'm not lying to myself.

I weight daily in the morning after I wake up and use the bathroom.

I weigh myself weekly - with WW they encourage you to not weigh yourself more often then this and to try and weigh yourself
1. on the same set of scales in the same place 2. at the same time of day every week had heard members say - if your mad enough to weigh more often then weekly keep a record of which days you weigh in and only compare the results of week by week... I personally don't like weigh ins I dread them - even though so far they have always had at least a small drop I guess I'm dreading the first no movement or first gain... I just don't want to go there even though it can happen I broke an old set of scales by being too heavy for them think that also adds to the dread of weigh ins janby I know what you mean by bad results mid week = sabotage for the week ! been there done that so far into my 10th week of WW had a couple of really good ones and a couple of not so good ones ... includes 1 pretty awful one... got back onto the program and kept going with it .. Last week started taking measurements as well - making it part of weigh in ritual taking measurements and weight every Monday morning! |
The first sign I am going to slip is to stop weighing. And I got sick a few years back and gained 20 lbs in one month and had no idea. I didnt feel like I had changed my habits, but when I weighed in I had to check the scale 3 times.
MTA: although I weigh daily I only "count" certain days. If I am on plan I only count the new lows and just dismiss spikes as water. But since they don't always come on the same days of the week, it is good for me to catch them. I've gotten to the point where i LIKE spikes, I tend to spike 2 lbs before a REAL drop. If i am trending down down I will plateau until I spike up and then I can drop again |
