Everyday, as soon as I get up. I like to keep a close observation on my weight as it can fluctuate.
Every morning. I need to stay on top of it.
First thing every Friday morning after I go potty. Once a day was stressing me out. Once a week I feel I can see a real change, for better or worse.
When I'm on track I weigh daily :)
I weigh myself daily.. first thing in the morning, after the bathroom. And throughout the day.. I am obsessed. I keep my scale right next to my fridge. I don't think it helps, I just obsess more than I should.
So glad to see other people with the same routine. . . First thing in the morning, go to the bathroom, strip down, and weigh. I often put my pajamas back on! But that way I can't blame fluctuations on different clothes or something else.
I weigh myself once a week on weigh in day for weight watchers. I make sure I don't eat or drink anything before I weigh in and I try to have the same type of clothing or exact outfit on but I don't go insane with it. I used to weigh myself everyday and it just drove me completely insane
i weigh in every single morning just to keep tabs on myself, but i only record it on Fridays, helps me keep on task, seems when I don't weigh in, i relapse and gain weight back. I also weigh myself at night....why??? because I know i usually weigh 2 lbs more at night than in the morning, and then i will have some idea what to expect the next day.....crazy I know...but it's the only way I seem to be able to keep moving in the right direction.
I want to only weigh myself once a week but I step on the scale multiple times a day.
My favorite times to weigh are before and after going to the bathroom.... If I really need to go #1, just out of curiosity. Haha. |

Ever since starting my current weight loss regime 4 months ago, I have weighed myself every morning (except when traveling and no scale). This is definitely what motivates me and keeps me accountable. It's how I've lost weight in the past.
And always, when I've stopped doing this daily has been when I've gained weight. And then I'm afraid to get on to learn the number, and next thing I know I'm 10 pounds heavier the next time I get on. When I maintained my weight loss the last time 12 years ago successfully for 2 years, it was through weighing every day and being able to make small adjustments here and there to my diet. Stopping that habit is what allowed me to gain 45 pounds up to my highest weight ever last Spring. So, I am going to try to keep weighing daily for the rest of my life...now while I am (hopefully) losing my final 18 pounds this time around and from then on afterwards. I do admit I don't like that I can become obsessive about food, diet, weight, when I am weighing every day, but I like gaining 45 pounds even less. |
Honestly, I don't like to weigh myself very often (and definitely not more than once a week). I keep the scale put away in the closet and try not to focus on it. I want this weight off, but I still remember how I felt when I started my journey. I stepped on the scale and was so horrified at the number that I burst into tears and then polished off big bowl of ice cream.

I weigh once a week, on Sundays, naked after I wake up. If I do any more than that, it becomes an absolute obsession. At one point in my life, I was starving myself on fewer than 500 calories AND stepping on the scale 10+ times/day. I do not EVER want to go back to that life. :/
I weigh myself once a week to see my progress. I only started 7 weeks ago.
I never weigh myself. The last time I was weighed was 2 or 3 years ago? Can't remember. I go by how my clothes fit and I measure my waist once a week at the most.
Once a week first thing in the morning naked. If I weigh myself any more then that it can make me emotional.
Every morning weigh in,same place naked once I wake up. I skip sundays though
I weigh myself every morning, naked after going to the bathroom. I only step on the scale once and then that is it. It really keeps me from cheating because when I want to cheat I just think about how disappointed I will be the next morning. When I weigh only once a week, I end up cheating more because I keep thinking I can burn it off before I have to step on the scale again. I would often cheat on weigh in day because I knew I had a whole 6 more days to burn it off. Weighing daily eliminates that. Sometimes I do get down when the scale goes up for no reason but if I was good the day before then I know it wasn't my fault.
I weigh every morning after I go to the bathroom and strip down. It helps me to see how different things I eat affect my weight (like too much salt) and if my weight starts creeping up I notice it right away. Some days I just want to throw the stupid thing out the window though :dizzy:
Every couple days before I have a shower and yes ladies I'm naked. Yummy
Once a week, first thing in the morning.
...will get on the scale naked the next time ;) |
My "official" in home weigh in is once a week, on Mondays, first thing in the morning with minimal clothing. That is the number I record on my sheet - with total current weight, amount lost that week and total lost (and then I move beads from my "going" jar to my "gone" jar).
But I keep myself in check with several weigh-ins during the week. I find it encouraging to see the scale go down :carrot: |
I weigh myself almost everyday. If I know that I have not been good, then I wait 3 or 4 days to give me an opportunity to get back on track and not panic! I found that it takes about 2 days for "bad deeds" to show up!
oh, I forgot to say.... I always weigh myself at the same time after my morning routine and without any clothes on. I am very consistent about that! :)
I am weighing every morning, like most people thats starkers and after going to the loo :yikes:
I find it keeps me more accountable and I am hoping it acts as a bit of an angel on my shoulder when I am tempted to eat sugary sweets or chocolate that will push me over my calorie limit. I also love being able to update my ticker so if I weight every day and my weight goes down for 2 or 3 days in a row then I can update my ticker and thats a great feeling |
I've been weighing Monday mornings, first thing after the bathroom and starkers but if I know I had a bad weekend I just skip. Ignorance is bliss. Probably one of the reasons I lost and then gained back 20 of the 40 I had loss. After readings lots here I am going to try weighing daily and recording it MFP.

So do I. I thought I was crazy. :dizzy: |
Naked, or as they say on my planet, "blutt." Once a week. I do it just to make sure I'm not lying to myself.
I weight daily in the morning after I wake up and use the bathroom.

I weigh myself weekly - with WW they encourage you to not weigh yourself more often then this and to try and weigh yourself
1. on the same set of scales in the same place 2. at the same time of day every week had heard members say - if your mad enough to weigh more often then weekly keep a record of which days you weigh in and only compare the results of week by week... I personally don't like weigh ins I dread them - even though so far they have always had at least a small drop I guess I'm dreading the first no movement or first gain... I just don't want to go there even though it can happen I broke an old set of scales by being too heavy for them think that also adds to the dread of weigh ins janby I know what you mean by bad results mid week = sabotage for the week ! been there done that so far into my 10th week of WW had a couple of really good ones and a couple of not so good ones ... includes 1 pretty awful one... got back onto the program and kept going with it .. Last week started taking measurements as well - making it part of weigh in ritual taking measurements and weight every Monday morning! |
The first sign I am going to slip is to stop weighing. And I got sick a few years back and gained 20 lbs in one month and had no idea. I didnt feel like I had changed my habits, but when I weighed in I had to check the scale 3 times.
MTA: although I weigh daily I only "count" certain days. If I am on plan I only count the new lows and just dismiss spikes as water. But since they don't always come on the same days of the week, it is good for me to catch them. I've gotten to the point where i LIKE spikes, I tend to spike 2 lbs before a REAL drop. If i am trending down down I will plateau until I spike up and then I can drop again |
