1st week, 9 lbs. down :carrot::carrot::carrot:
I am so excited! I know that every week isn't going to be like this. I know this is probably a lot of water retention ... but I am happy with my first week results. Thank you everyone for your support :o

Congratulations on that great first week, Mary! I'm sure it was nice to see that number on the scale, but I already knew you had totally ROCKED IT!

:cb: :cb: :bravo: :cb: :cb:

Thank you!!! I am very excited. Now on to week #2 :)
You're right, I'm glad I didn't wait until January.

Congrats! You're off to a great start!

So, I was so happy with my 1st week weight loss that I started weighing myself daily. BIG MISTAKE! The number on the scale hasn't changed at all since Monday :(. I have been following the Optifast plan exactly, 100%, not cheating.
I'm a little frustrated ... Ok, I am a LOT frustrated but still sticking to the plan. I hope to see the numbers going lower again sometime soon.

MaryBB- my number on the scale didn't change for days in a row, then I'll be down 2 or three lbs. Also, it's only the first week, so the body is still adjusting.

Try not to get too obsessed, Mary. No.1 priority should be to remember to live life every day! This helps me muck through the plateaus, anyway...

When the scale starts getting in the way, put it in the closet and ignore it, seriously. You deserve to be feeling SO positive every day right now, because of all your dedication and perseverance and you're letting that stupid little tool suck the joy away from you.

Don't let the scale drag you down. As I mentioned, weight loss is nonlinear. And you KNOW you're 100% on program, that's what's important. Hang in there!

You're right! I am going back to weighing in once a week. The numbers are not changing as quick as I would like but I feel really good. Thanks for the good advice :)

The scale is now out of site, great idea! Consider it ignored :carrot: I feel better already :). I am holding on to a positive attitude, this is working. It may be slower than I want, but I know I didn't put all of this weight in one day, it won't come off in one day either. Thanks for all of the positive support, it really is so important in this journey :)

Where is our Mary, come back girlie! How is it going?

MaryBB 09-18-2014 09:32 PM

Hey Mrs. Snark, I'm here ... Where are you? How are you feeling?

Back on track :)down a total of 17 pounds :carrot: The problem is that it's not noticeable yet? I knew that I had a lot to lose but thought I would see a change by now. I definitely feel better:D

Mrs Snark 10-22-2014 12:52 PM

Hey there, I hope you are continuing to do well! I've been offline for a while very sick, but I'm trying to get re-engaged, since it seems like I may actually live after all! ;-)

17 pounds, that is fantastic (probably even more by the time I saw this!)! Just keep moving forward (even if it feels sometimes like it is 2 steps forward, 1 step back, 4 steps forward, 2 steps back, 3 steps forward...etc.). Success isn't always a perfectly straight line, but just don't give up!

Eventually there will come a day where it will suddenly be like BLAMMO, where did the weight go!
