Ha, Veggiedawg
I need a like button for that, too. I'm not real exact and typically expect at least a temporary gain if I have chinese because of the salt.

Today, I sneaked (snuck?) quinoa pasta onto the dinner table! We had a free for all (choose your sauce) and I had blanched baby kale sprouts and just a few parmesan shavings for flavor. Went jogging again for the first time in a week. Winter, you are really cramping my style!

Hi ladies! I totally put on the water weight if I have a high sodium meal, like Chinese food! Hey, I did have Chinese food this week. Luckily I have stayed the same weight, but didn't lose anything either this week - and I think sodium is the culprit - I wasn't as careful this week. The one good thing I did today was start PT for my lower back. I've been putting it off just because I don't really want to take the time during the precious few hours of freedom I have when my kids are at school (I didn't get to the gym today because of it). BUT, it must be done. The therapist was nice and gave me some great stretching exercises and band work. Hopefully, I'll be able to incorporate what I learn into my regular exercise routine.

Guacamole- I hope the PT helps you. Do you have to do the exercises daily?

MagicS- LOL! Good job not licking the bowl!!!! I've been making my littles Nutella on bread and oh that knife seems worth a lickin'! (but I didn't either)

I'm lucky there; I really find nutella revolting.

Today, after the excesses of the weekend, took a whole bunch of veggies and some humus dip for lunch today. Feeling much better, and we even went jogging!

I peeled a bunch of carrots so they will be standing ready at a moments notice. Noticed while peeling how very much they don't resemble cake, which is what I want.

Carrot cake? Can we call that damage control?

Susan - We can call it anything we want, not sure we'll get away with it though.

I have to stop drinking Guinness today. Beer is such empty calories, but so tasty. I keep reminding myself that St. Patrick's Day doesn't need to be a 4-day affair. But I do descend from Ulster Scots (Scots-Irish) waaaaaay back in the day. Maybe that accounts for the love of the beer and my generally high level of blarney.

So today's good choice: I haven't planned my meals around Guinness. Go me.

"High level of Blarney"!!! If I was drinking beer while reading your post it would have come out my nose!

That would do it. I'm also Ulster-Scots, also Blarniful.

yesterday (and today) I *didn't* eat the brownies I made for a friend of mine. Bagged them up and gave the rest to the kids. I seriously need to learn to make worse brownies, though, because it was hard.

Decided to do my exercise outdoors today and it was great! I haven't eaten the candy, cookies, and cakes that friends brought over. I haven't eaten entirely on plan, but PMS is here again with a vengeance and I am soooo bloated and craving everything bad, so I guess it could be worse.

Went for a three hour walk today. Ate two oranges when I got home instead of ice cream.

Waking up earlier than usual, my luck because the postman came a few minutes later.

I ate microwaved steamed sugar snap beans and faux dogs for dinner tonight. Which, while unexciting and sorta lame, are a vast improvement over the peanut butter I had for dinner last night.

Susan, I bet we are related, from way back. I'm going to think of you as my cousin from now on. That means I get to borrow your clothes and never return them, FYI.
