It is 9 a.m. on National Drink Wine Day. And I haven't had any wine yet.
Even though a dog threw up on my pillow, a heron pooped on my patio chair, and my eyebrows are doing their best Dale-on-The-Walking-Dead imitation.
A good choice?
Debatable.
Where's the pinot.

Just don't drink and tweeze!
(I use wax strips, so if I drank and waxed, I would probably lose my whole eyebrow.)

No wine?! That may be me soon. The last two time I had prosecco, my face started to burn and itch in a horrible manner after just a few swallows. I really hope I'm not developing an alcohol allergy. I'm not a big drinker, but I love my glass of red on Friday nights...
So.
After the great weigh-in debacle, my (hopefully) good choice is to order a digital scale. At the moment, my scale is so hard to read that I'm just guessing at the weigh-ins, and I don't want to be doing that.

Wow, can you suddenly develop an allergy like that? My face always gets hot if I drink, never had itchiness though.
Yeah, I could use a digital scale too. I usually step on and off a couple times before actually getting my official number--just testing how close to zero the mark is.
I haven't been sticking to my plan today. DH brought home pizza and a baked loaf that only would appeal to me. argh. But I'm keeping my portions small and no more carbs today.

I have no idea. I'm waiting to see if it keeps happening.
Today, we made a sunday morning bakery run. I got nothing (that was hard!) and had a couple scrambled eggs with salsa.
I'm going to go sniff the bread now.

There is bakery here that pumps out the smells of their freshly-baking everything and when I run by the place, drool shoots out of my mouth. Literally.
Today's good decision. Morning kayaking.

Hi guys. Veggie and Magic - I bought this scale from Amazon about 2 weeks ago, and I really like it. Sometimes the first number you get when you step on is a few pounds off - but after that the scale gives an accurate and consistent number if you keep stepping on it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o02_s00
Yesterday my husband offered me pizza and I declined. I ate no baked goods/desserts at the family meals I attended. I went to the gym this morning because I know I'm not going tomorrow - rest day after my procedure. Anyway, I am up 1 lb from yesterday's family meals, but overall I made good choices in what I ate. Last week I was up 2 lbs after family weekend meals, so I'm doing better.
Have a great day!

That scale looks nice! Someone commented that "be warned that your husband will be able to read your weight from 10 feet away!" That's ok, I always keep the bathroom door closed....
So, I've been good, aka. on plan, today. Only thing is, I have been feeling a bit weird and ended up eating more in the morning to feel better. (same food, I just have to space it differently, I guess.)

My weekend good choices were to go for a really long hilly run yesterday, then to NOT eat back all the calories I felt I had earned/deserved. That is my continual bad habit: erasing hours of hard activity by eating well past my real hunger.

Today I skipped out on the reward I was going to give myself after a painful medical procedure. I had planned to treat myself to some sort of fattening coffee drink, or smoothie, or breakfast at a restaurant - because I've been dreading this for weeks. Instead I went home and put up a pot of vegan split pea soup in my slow cooker to have for dinner, grabbed a bottle of water, got into pajamas, and am about to watch Walking Dead for my treat. Less calories for sure!

Excellent, Guac! So glad for you that the medical stuff is behind you!
My scale arrived today- it's bamboo! Really pretty.
I almost made a healthy choice today. I was going to make some homemade granola bars for healthy snacks, but discovered we have no oats! Abort mission...

Enjoy your new scale, magicsusan! It's a good tool for keeping us accountable. When I don't weigh myself, I slip into the ostrich effect - stick my head in the sand and pretend I'm not gaining.

Thanks, guac.
I don't obsess about the number on the scale, but I do find it important to check in. Makes it harder, as you say, to put my head in the sand.
Onwards! Today, I chickened out on jogging (started snowing again) but had a falafelfor dinner, with lots of salad, tomatoes and stuff.
