I've been squeezing in exercise throughout my workday today- so far have done some stretches, calf raises, jogged in place, 20 pushups and a few lunges. I keep seeing how having a sedentary desk job shortens your life even if you are active outside of work, and I definitely have a sedentary desk job. Trying to work in some additional activity throughout the day to keep the blood pumpin'.
Heidi - I didn't snack today, did have Chinese food with DH and my parents...
I chose to do my workout and day 1 of week 2 of c25k before we left to visit my parents (my mom had a basal cell skin cancer removed from her nose near her eye, she did well, poor thing has a pretty good black eye)
Good idea Dee, I try to get up as much as I can at work, I think I'm going to get rid of the garbage can in my cube so I always have to getup to throw something away. I dread you should just stand up every 20 minutes or so.
I made the choice not to snack today; yay! And yay to my no-snack partner kelijpa, too!
As for the sedentary, I try to go walk the mile-loop in my neighborhood after lunch each day, trying to replicate how back in my working days in the city, we had no choice but to walk each day to lunch.
I feel like I ate some gnats today out in the garden...terrible things, they just swarm around, thank goodness they don't bite.
Chose to stay home today, kept eating pretty much on plan, didn't do weights, but spent a lot of time outside working, since I was home there's no candy, chocolate, did make some popcorn that was the big snack tonight.
C25k tomorrow, I'll do my weights then...so much for the great fitness plan, lol
I did not eat a giant plate of pasta (I want it) after my husband made pasta with scampi tonight (I want it) I stuck with my plan (I want it) and tomorrow I will feel super great about it (I want it) though right now (I want it) it is really hard...
I took the bus into town for lunch with a friend- and then walked home! Took about an hour, some flat along the river, but lots of long staircases thrown in.

That sounds like a lovely walk Magicsusan! Good choice!
Hope you got your exercises in Kelijpa!
I did 4 miles worth of dog walking this early morning on my "rest day" (when what I wanted to do was stay in bed, drink coffee, listen to jazz, and read magazines.)!
I did, I did, did them right after posting, day off today, did lots of raking, cleaning up an old flower bed, trying to get a kind of wild area with some flowering plants going for the bees. Later I hiked up the power line, nice and steep, so feeling it now....
I didn't eat a wonderfully aromatic peach. I could smell else aches each time I walked by in the kitchen, but told myself I could have one tomorrow during a meal (today was day 1 of my no snacking pledge)
