Got out of bed to do yoga/stretching and my squats, even though I had hurt my back the day before and didn't feel like doing exercise. It helped!

Today I go back to high intensity exercise. 2 years ago when I was 30 lbs heavier I was doing Krav Maga (its hand to hand combat training). I loved it, but it was a bit costly so after a year I had to stop. This weekend I attended one of their yearly events as I do every year and they offered me a lifetime membership, free! I will be trained to be a couch or trainer. I am so very excited!! Scared as well, but more excited. I will be doing at least 3 hours of intense excercise each week (1 hr, 3 x a week). I will probably take a break from weigh in only because in the past I have gained once I began exercising and then I stop doing it all together. The body is a mean little machine at times.

Had a girl's day out with the kiddo. We picked Panera Bread for dinner. They put the calorie counts on the menu, so I went for the lowest calorie choices I could make and shared the roll that came with the salad with the young 'un. I also had unsweetened tea.

Go me!

Poured out the sugar we had in the house. So no more sugar in the coffee (I can't imagine why I let that creep in there, what a terrible idea).

I gave up diet soda for Lent. Lent is over, and I still have not had any diet soda.

I AM SHOCKED.

I had to buy sugar recently Mrs Snark as we had houseguests and I realised that I had no real sugar for their coffee.. to be honest I was quite pleased to know that I never missed having it in the house.

And well done Abbi! I haven't quite gone so far as to totally cut out the diet soda yet.. but I'm working on it.

And my proud moment today was completing day one of the 30 day shred.. I just know that moving tomorrow is going to be painful but I suspect that I'll still be smiling as a couple of months ago there would have been no way that I would have even thought about doing it botherless actually doing it. My shin splints gave me **** throughout it so I'm praying that's not going to be an issue for me.
