The age old muffin top chat

So - I started this diet, over and over and over and then stop for stupid random reasons. I am currently in the home stretch - needing to make a huge impact on my weight loss over the next 4 months. I need to get serious "yet again" - I know my weight and measurements and am wondering if there is any hope that the muffin top might slowly thin out??? I haven't worn a dress in years and I really need to wear one in a few months. Oh darn you muffin top!!!!!!!!!!;)
Has anyone out there noticed their waist shrink??? Please inspire me!

I remember the day when I noticed that my waist no longer had a roll; my body just went in, and then out again. I was very excited, and dragged my husband over to see!! I'm only a bit taller than you, and I remember that happened around 186 for me. Everyone's body is different; hopefully you will get there even sooner.

I am an apple shape, so my middle is my problem area. I'm hoping as I lose pounds it will eventually shrink some! I know it will. Today was weigh in day for me, and this week I'm adding a couple of measurements. I figure even if I can't see it going down the tape measure will :)

Initially I had troubles loosing weight no matter how I ate. What got my inches down in the beginning was exercise. I started doing the 30-day shred and then moved on to a combination of "No more trouble zones" and "Banish fat, boost metabolism". I lost most around my abdomen. I think it was about 5-6 inches in a 4-month period. I actually gained weight while doing that. I think this may have been a combination of water/fat loss and gain of muscle.

DH does that exercise where you have a pole or something like a broom stick handle across your shoulders and twist back and forth, he swears it's the best thing for your middle, I do it sometimes, I really need to add in some exercises besides walking. I try and hold my stomach in whenever I think of it, kind of like isometrics, when I'm driving, walking, whatever, just tighten the abs and hold it.

best of luck :sunny:
