Lamb-you are on a roll girl!

Everyone seems to be doing great.

I'm sitting in the airport in my size 16 jeans My flight is delayed about 20 minutes but shouldn't be a big deal for catching my connection.

Well... It's time for me to check in on these.

(1) It's a good thing I didn't set my heights to high. The holidays are officially behind me now and I woke up this morning at 173.4. So, this goal is doable although I won't be blowing it away. That's okay; I wanted a doable goal, and given the month, it would have been easy not to make this goal.

(2) I've done okay here. Mindful when I want to be. AND, there are plenty of times that I have walked away, so that's good. I'm home alone all weekend and I plan on counting calories today and tomorrow. I'll give myself a low B on this.

(3) I've been pretty good about this. Except for the 1st week where I didn't exercise, I think I've hit this otherwise since then. So I'll give myself a high B.

I hope everyone else is doing well... One more week until this problem month is behind us!

I'm not sure if I surpassed my goal or not. I went outlet shopping today and got a bit of a surprise. I was wearing a pair of 16W jeans (different than the 16 jeans I had on the other day, I assure you) and they were getting kind of loose so I decided to try on some 14W jeans. They fit! Apparently 14W are a little bigger or wider than regular 16's? So it would seem. At any rate, it made me happy cause I'm almost out of plus size clothes.

Yay for being able to wear a smaller size in jeans!

Congrats Lambchop on reaching your goal!

I hope you all had a happy holiday. My family and I had a very nice Christmas. It was especially fun to see Hayden, my granddaughter, open presents, giggle and run around.

The scales were kind to me this morning and I weighed in at 211.5! So I made my goal plus 1.5 lbs more. I hope to stay the same throughout the next week and I plan to eat lots of veggies and fruit and keep drinking a good amount of water.

Its nice to be home and see my family but I am ready to go back to my home and have more control over my life again.

After reading newleaf's checkup, I looked back at mine.
a) Wanted to be 148 going into 2010. Sitting stubbornly at 149 ... but it's just not that bad a place to be, and it's not easy to get highly motivated when everything is fitting, and I'm content with the reflection in the mirror. I've passed that point where the scale drives change, but I have a lot of room for improvement in my fitness level yet.
b) 20000 yard month. Um, yeah ... if I started swimming around the clock starting now, sure ... It will be easier in January, because that's really the official start of the Masters season and I will have other swimmers looking for me to show up. Herd mentality ...

Time to re-read the Goal forum.

Chiming in late here. With just a few days left in the year, my goals are really simple. By 12/31, I want to have placed my first order through BistroMD, be ready to start my new walking program 1/1 if I haven't already gotten moving including making no-excuse bad weather backup plans (aargh), and decide the best way to use 3FC to support my weight loss program.

I've only got a few questions to clarify with BistroMD - why's it so hard to pick up the phone and make the call?

Okay, I'm claiming the year to be over as of today. We're going to the neighbors for dinner tonight and while I plan to be mindful, I also plan to enjoy the food and drink that they have prepared, and I don't think it's fair to them or to me to go over there stressing about what the scale says tomorrow morning to make or break the year. That's what I love about this board -- the flexibility to tailor to our own needs!

(1) The scale read 170.0 this morning, which I feel great about. While it did go as low as 168 earlier in the month, this is still a victory and I'm claiming it! I've been working for this, no doubt in my mind.

(2) This has been hit or miss, but more hit than miss. I'll take it.

(3) Yes, I've done this.

So............ I'm starting off the New Year tomorrow feeling optimistic that I've overcome my Halloween demons and am back in the groove. It may be a little less of a hard-core concentrated groove, but a groove none the less. Yay!

ETA: On 1/1/09 I was at 185.3. On 12/31/09 I am at 170.0. I'm happy and thankful to have put 15+ pounds behind me and look forward to doing the same in 2010.

Finally home. I weigh the same I did when I left so I'll count that as a victory. At least I didn't gain anything. I tried on some various clothes this morning and came to conclusion that 14W pants have more room in the hips than regular 16s which is why they fit more comfortably. I have some regular 16s which I can get on but they are a bit snug. Not sure I would want to wear them to work quite yet.

I also measured myself this morning since it has been about a month. I lost 3 inches in my waist this past month which is where I lost the most. 5.5 inches overall. Thats nice to see even though the scale is not moving as fast I would like.
