DMC - I hope you find a distraction sooner than later. Yesterday i went flying out of the house - when my husband made french toast..the aroma about killed me! I tried my usual distraction, but ugh! I was like, i'm out of here - and when I came home sprayed the house top to bottom in air freshener so the aroma wouldn't get to me!!! LOL

Petra - i'm sorry you're having a time recovering from the argument. Let's think about what can help you let it go...did you stand up for yourself? Did you lay ground rules? Did you say what was inside of you? These are all positive things...regardless, listen - some people sap our energy or our time or our well-being, and just aren't offering us positive things in return...it can be hard to let go, but eventually, you're going to realize it's healthy to let go of those people. ((hugs))

Just saw about your BP meds goal...good one...here's another thought - Can you set cooking goals for yourself - since you're enjoying it? Maybe you'll make at least ONE NEW recipe you haven't yet, or try a new food you haven't? Or take a great cooking class you've thought would be fun after you have maintained for x amount of months?

Marie - I'm glad you're enjoying your weekend. I love turkey too...it's a great way to make "clean, healthy" lunch meat too

ICU - how did you do with the pizza and beer? I've owned a lot of Dodge's over the years too! (neon, shadow, dakota, spirit, etc) - I drive a Pontiac right now - my hubby has the Jeep and an Olds.

GIV- down 3 pounds!!!! THAT'S AWESOME...congratulations!!!

I woke up to another pound gone! Woohoo..19 total now. I'm also getting really excited since i leave on vacation on Tuesday..my brain is scattered, because i'm thinking of all different things right now!

I've been having trouble with the site for a few days. I hope this posts!

CruiseCAT: dh and I cruise a lot too. LOVE it. We are addicted!

(((Petra)))

Weather: OMG! The wind blows continuously here. We joke that they evacuate entire counties in Florida for winds like this but it's true. ALL.THE.TIME! It's been blowing for 10 days. I live along the Rocky Mountain Front and the wind just whips down off the mountains and onto the plains. WHOOSH!

I woke up this morning and the scale says I gained 5 pounds. GAH! I've been faithfully tracking my calories and exercising. So frustrating.

My son is 23 today and wants death by chocolate and potato chowder soup. Oy! I hope it's not another 5 pound gain tomorrow. LOL

Ok I just did the 3 mile super fat burner watp video in preparation of potato soup which we lovingly refer to as heart attack in a bowl!

I also decided I will make a HUGE salad tonight too and eat that first. I hate feeling full so that will help me when it comes to potato soup and death by chocolate time!

lambchop - it ended up being pulled pork instead of pizza, but I thought I did a pretty good job of sticking to what I wanted to do. My calories may have gone over a bit because of guacamole (of all things I can't resist, anything involving an avocado is right up there!), and one extra beer. I give it a B+. :)

cassie - best of luck with that birthday dinner! Be strong!

B+ isn't shabby...nice job! I'm hoping I can give my week in Disney with eating a B+ when I get home...hahahaha

Cat-nice to have you back with us. We missed you. Hope you had a great time. Looking forward to hearing about it.

Lamb-thanks for your supportive words. I do believe he is one of those persons who is sapping me of everything and giving me almost nothing positive in return. He needs to go. And congrats on your lb. Nice to see that scale moving, isn't it ;)

As for the cooking thing, I actually have to restrict the number of new recipes I put in my meal plans so I don't burn myself out. I allow myself 1 or 2 a week. I do think those goals need to be health or fitness related or at least self-care related. The yoga studio runs a teacher training program......they just started a new class this weekend. That thought crossed my mind but I don't know if I really want to do that. I might enjoy the training but I don't know if I would actually want to teach and that would be the point. I like the cooking idea though-will think about that more. I have at least a year to think about it, LOL

I brought an empty box in from the garage today and started putting in some clothes that have gotten too big.

ICU-good job on the eating out. You could do worse than avacados-they are a great source of healthy fat. I don't like them-wish I did.

Giv-you are definately on a roll with the weight loss. Good job.

Cassie-good luck with the birthday dinner. Sometimes I'm grateful my life is less complicated.

After thinking about it more, I realized I do have cooking/food related goals. I'm trying to include more vegetarian and fish dishes in my menu so I have already made a goal of 2 vegetarian and 2 fish dishes for Jan. I also want to try to go organic with my meat choices once I use up what I already have in the freezer-which will take a while since I'm trying to eat more vegetarian and fish, LOL. So I do have a cooking goal of trying to cook more authentic mediterranean dishes. I have several authentic mediterranean cookbooks. Not sure how to turn that into something that will help me when I get to maintenance.

Why do I hate Monday?!!

Another weekend flies by! Back to school. UGH! But only 2 days this week so that's a good thing. I was not as good over the weekend but I'm committed to be back on track today. If I can have these last 3 days under control, I'm planning to enjoy Thanksgiving and exercise portion control.

Hope everyone has a great week! This board is something I am definietely thankkful for!
