My Journey Begins Today!

  • Hi 40-somethings!

I joined the site last week and I am making a firm committment to my weight loss plan today. I got on the scale this morning and I am 196!!! My weight just keeps creeping up slowly but surely. This nonsense needs to stop today! My first step is writing everything down. Second step is finding support from the members here. I am ready to stay on track. I am doing my own lower carb plan that includes some whole grains and lots of fresh veggies!! I have done this before and it works for me. I hope to get to know you through this forum.

    God bless!!

  • Thanks Everyone!
Thanks for the words of encouragement and the warm welcome. I am ready to do this. I have done great so far today. I am ready for dinner then off to rehearsal which means exercise and no snacking! I forgot to mention I also quit smoking today. Crazy I know but I am gonna do this!
  • Day One
I feel like I had a successful day one! Stayed on track, drank water and wrote down everything I ate. One day at a time!!
  • oh wow - smoking too??? It definitely can be done. Watch for posts by LoriBell - she quit smoking, drinking, and her old eating lifestyle all at the same time, and I know there are others who have done it! Keep up the great work, and DON'T stop if you can't be perfect. Suck it up and be perfect at the next meal, and the one after that ... and it WILL get easier!
  • Congratulations on a fabulous day 1!
  • Welcome Gloria

    You can do it girl
