Getting caught up on questions:
What was your first job? I worked at the same place as my dad in the cafeteria at his work. I took people's money and gave them their stuff.

What clothing item can you not live without? My sweats, I wear them to bed and on days I don't go anyway. They are so comfortable!!

What drives you nuts? People who call my husband constantly to fix their furnaces or air conditioners. He installs them for a living but it doesn't mean he services them. They have people who do that at his company too. It gets annoying especially since he can't say no and still tries. Can you tell he was just gone right now doing that, LOL?!?

Positive feature about myself:
I have had tons of people always comment on my eyes. They are big and brown and I like to play them up with eye liner and mascara to really show them off.

How about 3 more questions:

How did you come up with your screen name for here?

What is your favorite TV show?

How old were you when you had your first real kiss?

Onmyway 03-27-2009 05:21 PM

Hi ladies! Just spent time typing a nice long post to everyone and then my computer screwed up and I lost it! I'll just say Hi and keep it at that! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hang in there Beemer, I'll be thinking of you.

Onmyway 03-27-2009 05:29 PM

Just saw there are 3 more questions! Let me be the first to answer!

1. My screen name was something I just came up with and now when people comment on my weightloss I answer, "I'm on my way".LOL. I plan to get it engraved on a charm for my bracelet.

2. Right now my favorite is Grey's Anatomy.

3. I was 14. I was a freshman and my first real BF was a senior! Still can't believe my parents actually let me go out with him, but I was the youngest and I think they were a little more lax with me. My DD won't be dating til she's 30!

Hotsplashes 03-27-2009 06:13 PM

Popping on before Dr. BF arrives for the weekend. Eating went well all week! Haven't stepped on the scales tho.

Here's my answers for the questions.

Screenname: My favorite show mare that I owned. Chestnut and white Overo Paint.

Fave TV show. CSI Vegas...

First REAL Kiss... 14. from my first Boyfriend!!lol

CruiseCAT 03-27-2009 06:14 PM

Susan - I am so sorry you FIL has taken a turn. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

OnMyWay - I too have lost post in cyber-space. When I know my post is going to be a long one I always do it in word then cut and paste.

How did you come up with your screen name for here?
I am obsessed with cruising and my initials are CAT

What is your favorite TV show?
We use the DVR for several shows and then speed watch but I can't really say I have a favorite.

How old were you when you had your first real kiss?
Do you really think I am one to kiss and tell?

CruiseCAT 03-27-2009 06:24 PM

Thank you all for the compliments on my hair. Not a GREAT cut but one I am at least happy with. I think as I loose more weight I will go shorter.

I am going to TRY to not always pull it back. I wear it down when I go out(unless hiking) but the rest of the time it is in a ponytail. I really want to get out of the habit even when I'm at home.

losermom 03-27-2009 07:33 PM

Beemer, I am so sorry about your FIL. Your story sounds much like my friend's FIL.

CruiseCAT, your hair looks great! When I wore my hair that length, mine always ended up in a ponytail too. Now it's too short for that, but I always clip up the front when I'm home. My DD hates it when I do that.
How did you come up with your screen name for here? We, our family, always call ourselves “The Loser Family” because of the bonehead dorky things we do. It has nothing to do with losing weight although I suppose that is appropriate as well.

What is your favorite TV show? This is embarrassing, but I am addicted to reality tv. Right now I’m really into The Real Housewives of NYC.

How old were you when you had your first real kiss? 14. His name was Kent.

TSap 03-28-2009 03:39 AM

Hello everyone...hope you are having a great weekend. I'm back in PA and already missing my family in CA. I had a great visit and stayed OP except for the last 2 days. I did get a lot of exercise and hopefully I can dump the extra water I am surely retaining after having Pizza Hut AND McD's!!

Questions

How did you come up with your screen name for here?
It came about as a joke...One day I was telling my sister that I had finally come up with plan for healthy eating I could live with. I said it was the "Tanya's Smaller A%$ Plan". That became TSap for short and it stuck.

What is your favorite TV show?
Hmm..right now the Graham Norton Show

How old were you when you had your first real kiss?
13...from my first love, awwww

Tomorrow I am starting a search for a kitty... going to visit an adoption event at local shelter. Wish me luck on finding a new companion!!:flow2:

I LOVE IT!!!

BTW - Welcome home.

Mack and I are going to do a little GeoCaching today but other than that will stick close to home. My BF's sister was in an accident yesterday so we are taking care of her dogs while she is in Vegas. As of last night she was listed as critical.

Hope you all have a GREAT weekend.

newleaf123 03-28-2009 11:10 AM

Tanya - good luck with the kitty adoption! I volunteer as a cat handler at our local adoption center. If it's crazy at your place today (like it is at mine on weekends) if there's any way you can swing by on a weekday, you'll likely have a much more relaxing time of it. I hope you find a wonderful cat! There are so many at our shelter that I love and wish I could take home. But one cat is enough in our household where 2 people are allergic. We adopted our cat from the shelter and he has been a wonderful member of the family for the last year.

Beemer - I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL...

Questions:
1. Screen name: well, the one I wanted (dinomama) and was already taken, so then I just started playing around until I could find one that wasn't taken yet.

2. TV show: I don't watch much TV; I guess my favorite is the House Hunters International; I love seeing what money will or won't buy you in other countries. It's a good show to fold laundry to.

3. First real kiss: I seem to remember there being makeout parties in junior high, although I can't remember who I would have been making out with...

Onmyway 03-28-2009 11:12 AM

Welcome back Tsap. Love the name idea!

CruiseCat, geocacheing sounds fun. We will be doing that with my daughter's class in a couple weeks. I'm looking forward to it. Sorry about your friend's sister, I'll say a prayer.

Rain here than snow expected later. What is that? We have been wearing shorts and capris with temps in the 70's. We are supposed to get 7 inches. UGH!

Have a great weekend!

Hattie22 03-28-2009 06:44 PM

Beemer: Sorry about what you and hubby are going through with FIL!:hug::hug:and prayers sent to you!

Questions:
1. Screen name: Just wanted something different and that came to mind. I do have a webkinz hippo that I named Hattie so it kind of seemed appropriate. (DID I JUST ADMIT THAT THAT I HAVE A WEBKINZ?) LOL! The 22 is my bday #. My real name by the way is Michelle.

2. TV show: I have so many it is embarrassing! A couple...LOST, Survivor, and Medium.

3. First real kiss: Probably 15 yrs. old and not someone I was thrilled with. Just wanted to try it out.

CruiseCAT 03-29-2009 09:54 AM

After posting here yesterday I got busy doing yard work so we never got out to GeoCache; maybe today after our Costco trip. Speaking of Costco has anyone tried their Apple/Gouda chicken sausage; they have become my new favorite quick food.

Paula's sister is still unconscious but the brain swelling has gone down and she has started to come out of it a couple times. Because of her other injuries I know they have her heavily medicated so I'm hopeful it's more of a medically induced state than an actual coma.

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.

Onmyway 03-29-2009 12:24 PM

CruiseCat, glad to hear your friend's sister is doing better!

Spent my day shopping and running errands with a friend. I tried on over 20 pairs of capris and could not find anything that fits right. I am no longer a plus but I can't seem to find the right fit in the regular department. AARRGH! I gave up!

We had snow last night! Last week my DD was wearing shorts to school!

Keep it up girls!

newleaf123 03-29-2009 01:10 PM

OnMyWay - I just heard on the forecast while I was exercising (yay me!) that we may get snow tonight! Certainly not much, I'm sure, but still... And I just potted up some cheery pansies on my deck yesterday; I guess I better put them in the garage overnight!

CruiseCAT - I hope your friend's sister improves today. 3:30am to get up with your husband - you are so nice! I can imagine me just rolling over and going back to sleep...

I finished Week 4 of C25k today; looking forward to Week 5!

The scale is stuck for me; I've been fluctuating between 178 and 179 for almost 2 weeks now! But I'm trying to just keep plugging along; I know that my clothes are fitting better and my measurements show that I am losing inches. So I'm trying to remain positive. April 10 will mark 2 months on this plan for me, and my goal is just 5lbs a month. I'm still on track by that big-picture goal, and need to just keep that in mind...
