Staring down the barrel of 50
 

I have to say - I envy you! I am almost 45 and anxiously awaiting the day I can say I have "made it through and I am done!" I am so ready to be FREE!!

however I'm nowhere near done with my cycles. Still going strong.

hey i'm 48 we are about the same height and size... very cool...

sadly i still ovulate every month but due to a joyful ablation in july 2004 i have not had a real period for 4 years!

I see from your profile, you're from MD. Might I ask what part ? I'm from NOVA -- just across the Potomac from So. MD ! I'm glad someone is close by & may be able to understand the Southern jargon ! :D

I am wondering if my peri-menopause experience is rather common or am I just a weirdo ?? :D

I am 47, 48 in January. 2 years ago after not having any cramping for more than 25 years my period came complete with cramps. I thought this so odd, as I had not had them since my 20's !!!!! Then the night sweats started coming, where I would get up in the middle of the night to change my night shirt as was drenched in sweat. Also after more than 20 years of having a 35-80 day cycle, it started coming like clockwork !!!!!!!!!!

Now, last month I was 2 weeks late, so now I am not sure when it will come back, should be due tomorrow.

Are all these strange fluctuations kind of normal, or is this just me ??

it's normal for you....

i got regular after 35... now i'm getting sporadic with PMS but not the cycle as far as I can tell...

it's one of those weird things ya know...
