Actually, I am living my life like I don't have to give up anything. Only learn to moderate what I choose, and when I can, make healthy choices about them, ie veggie pizza instead of meat lovers, one chocolate chip cookie that I eat slowly and savor instead of 4.... (my daughter decides to make cookies last night.... my first official day on WW!!)
Chocolate... never. Other sweets like cookies or candy, I can totally live without. I fall prey to binging with milk chocolate, so as long as I have some quality bittersweet, like Lindt high cocoa "Intense Orange" .... I'm safe... a couple squares hits the spot. That fits into a lifestyle for me.
I read from Lori's post that she won't give up Peanut Butter. As long as it's 100 percent peanuts, and no hydrogenated oils and sugars added, I happen to think that is something people should strive to eat, as it's wholesome plant fats (zero cholesterol) which are completely necessary, and good protein, in the legume family. Skip the high salt if possible, go unsalted if possible, or mix half and half... maybe is a good compromise?
I plan to eat a spoonful everymorning with my coffee!
I am counting calories and as long as I stay within my daily calorie allotment, I eat whatever I want. It's the only diet I can stick with because when I give up foods, I end up feeling deprived and then I throw in the towel!
thats an easy one... i wont give up my wine, i've been following ww and a glass of wine is 2 points... so i figure as long as i can count for it its ok ... besides, this shouldnt be a quick fix, it should be a life long fix and why give up something when its not life long ... right ? its just a temp fix and im looking for the long term goal.
Love my smirnoff ice wild grape.I dont know how many calories or carbs it has but mmmm it just taste soo good after a day at work. After all we all deserve a little treat here and there. We all work so hard at this weight loss.Go us!!!
I absolutly refuse to give up my Diet Pepsi! But I haven't really given up much of anything. I've just been watching portion sizes & trying to eat low cal/fat/carb. I eat what I want, just not as much of it as I used to.

Butter.... and I have to agree with Belly Buster. I don't want to feel like I need to give anything up, just moderate my portions and how often I have certain foods and journal it in my Fit day. If I feel deprived, then I will not be happy.
Green olives lol. Green olives and I have become friends. They are there for me late into the night when you are all sleeping. We have long conversations together ( ok I talk they listen ).
Go ahead laugh. Everyone else does lol. My husband says you keep up with those stupid green olives you are going to look like one. HEY round is a shape lol.
I have had to cut down on them from about 28 to about 10 a day. The sodium is pretty high.
Mountain dew is another food. It is a food isn't it? Well if it isn't it should be lol. I have one can every few days. Trying to keep it down to one can a week but once in a while it is two cans a week. Big difference from the 6 cans a day I use to drink.
I really don't do without a thing. I am eating for life, not just eating until I lose weight. If I have this today I don't have it tomorrow. Everything averages out.

Thank heavens I am a calorie counter who believes "all things in moderation". Portion control and counting help me remember that 70% dark chocolate, red wine and extra sharp cheddar cheese are things I don't have to give up. Since this is a lifestyle change, I refuse to think about giving up anything forever - except highly processed foods - which I can no longer abide.
