Default I need to bust out of the 170's!

I finally feel like I want to get back into eating healthy and exercising regularly. Today I worked out, and I feel great. I know I can lose weight. About 7 years ago I weighed around 215 lbs, and I successfully got down to the 170's. When I had my daughter 10 months ago, I was back around 215 and got back to 170 this past year. My only problem is I think I have some kind of mental block that doesn't let me stay focused enough to get to the 160's for very long. Anyone have this problem? I have never been able to stay in the 160's, I always mess up and maintain the 170's. Maybe I am afraid of the 160's? I don't know what's up with me!
Well, I am only 2 lbs away from being there so I know I can get there eventually. I just hope I can stay there and keep losing!

I am struggling with EXACTLY the same thing. What is it about <170lbs???

I seem to have some sort of mental block about getting smaller than 170. I don't know why, I WANT to weigh less. I keep gaining and losing the same 5lbs over and over again.

I get down to 170lbs through calorie counting (I'm awful and don't exercise at all), then give up and binge. Or, maybe not binge, but intentionally indulge by eating absolute crap for a while (and obviously not tracking calories). I would probably weigh 160 or 155 by now if I didn't insist on gaining and losing the same 5lbs repeatedly. 170 (173 today...) isn't a good weight for me.

I know it has to be a mental thing, I just don't know why...

I know that we can do it, and more importantly...that we WILL do it.

Omg!! I have the EXACT same problem with the 170's too..my lowest ever was 167 over a year ago and I shot right back up to 178. I got to 169 several days ago but today my scale said 172??

I'm trying to get out of them too but this is only my second week of dieting, and think Im going to get out of the 170's soon!!!!

I think some of it also is just that you tend to plateau around the lowest weight you've been in awhile, so if your body hasn't seen 160 in ages (or ever), you may have to fight harder to get there.

I always fought with the 130s. I fight to stay in them, and have never been to the 120s.

Well, I'm about 168 now but only because I was sick for two days with zero appetite! Maybe this can keep me motivated to get lower! Because I feel and look a litte slimmer, and I like how I feel. I just have to do it healthy, now!
