That is great that you have support from your family. OF COURSE you will get support here, you will have more on here than you realize. Its great to have a lot of support makes our journey a little easier when we know there are others out there dealing with some of the same issues you have

This website has been my saviour many a times! The support on here is second to none, as is the advice You will do great on the program. As you mentioned, I think we have all been around the dieting block, but this is absolutely THE most effective diet I have ever done. I have never lost weight this steadily and consistantly before.

As I am sure you have read, the first few days are the roughest and I would suggest, if at all possible, to start tomorrow (Friday). The reason I say this is because if you are headachy or nauseous or down right crabby, you will at least be home. If not, Monday is fine, it is just a suggestion. No matter what, push through the first few days. You will be hungry and be tempted to say "forget it" but push through. Once you get to the "other side" the cravings and hunger will subside and you will be so pleased with your results, that it will definitely keep you motivated to keep going!

Just keep telling yourself to make it through today. That was my mantra! "Just get through today" and wouldn't you know that every day was today You probably don't believe it, but you will be amazed that once the carbs are out of your system and your pancreas is at rest how not hungry you are and how you have virtually no cravings!

Another great thing about this diet is it really forces you to evaluate your relationship with food. One thing I struggle with (especially on weekends) is not "picking" or "grazing" on food through out the day. On IP, I am not hungry for it or even craving it, but it is a matter of breaking the habit that every time I go into the kitchen to not grab a handful of this or that. Which is what I used to do all the time before IP. I also never really realized how much I did it and how many extra calories I consumed until I stopped It is getting easier (thankfully!) but it is something that I struggle with.
