How much does your cycle affect your weight loss. I haven't changed anything I am eating this week (or drinking, still no diet cokes) and I am up a pound...but I had my period.

I am hoping that its just bloating and will go down a couple pounds by my weigh in on friday.

any advice? Its discouraging...

I am only down .6 since my weigh in Thursday and it's also TOM for me. I looked back and my last weigh in the week I had my period I lost 1.4. My lowest week ever.

thanks yall. I am hoping that if not much weight loss shows up on the scale, it will next week. I assume that the weight loss is there but the 2-3 pounds of bloating is hiding it...

The week before I generally don't lose anything - sometimes I gain- but not because I'm not OP. Generally, it's a relief when TOM starts because I lose about 4 pounds (2 for the week before and 2 for that week).

I always gain weight just before and during my periods. It helps when I reduce my sugar and salt intake, and drink lots of water. It doesnt help with the weight gain tho (that's inevitable for me), but it does ease the bloating and discomfort I feel.
