Below are the basics of how everything works on the challenge. If you have any questions at any time, just make a reply here, and I'll be quick to give you an answer!
Sign-Ups will officially end on Saturday, July 30th at 11:59PM PDT. The challenge will run for 6 weeks, starting on Monday, August 1st. Your starting weight will be due by Saturday, July 30th at 11:59 PM PDT. The challenge will end on Sunday, October 9th, with final weights due at 11:59 PM PDT. I will post the results ending each week by the following Wednesday (Tuesday if all Team Leaders are on time with their stats). As a general rule, if you miss the deadline to post your weight, it will not count for that week. If you know you won’t be able to post, post early!
Weigh-Ins
Weighing in and posting in your teams discussion threads are the only requirements to stay in the challenge. You only need to post in the discussion threads ONCE we will also have exercise and nutrition threads available if you choose to use them. EXERCISE AND NUTRITION THREADS ARE NOT REQUIRED! You can post whenever you would like for the week as long as it is BEFORE 11:59PM Sunday night (If your weigh in day is on Monday, you still need to weigh in BEFORE 11:59PM Sunday, Participants will be given 2 "freebie" weigh-ins after both are used (or you forget to post weight 2 times) you will be eliminated, but are more than welcome to come back as an "unofficial member" meaning your numbers won't count for team totals and you will not be eligible for the 20 somethings biggest loser title.
TeamsTeams will be posted on Sunday July 31st by 11:59 PDT. The threads will also be open by this time. Please check back to find your team. Teams will we split to have even weights and/or players.
If you are a new member and can not yet receive PMs or you have chosen not to receive PMs, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, subscribe to this thread so you know when the teams are posted and get reminders of when the challenge begins. Many have missed the start of the challenge because they either could not receive PMs or did not subscribe to the threads. THANK YOU!
Quick question, I know it says I can't change my starting weight, but I already lost 2 lbs since I signed up last weekend and we still have a few days. Should I change it, or just go with the original?
Go with the original. Some people including myself will have large loses for the first week. If you signed up and gave me your weight I already have it in the spreadsheet as that. I use the starting weights to make the teams even in weight as well to make it fair so when the others who have TBA weigh in I will separate theirs evenly so that it evens out.
