Default 170's - Anyone else battling them?

Hey girls, I looked all over and could not find a recent 170's thread and though I would love to join the 150's thread, unfortunately I an no where near that one yet :-)

So who is with me battling the pesky 170's? I unfortunately have yo-yo'd the last year, going from 185+ down to 163 last summer, then over the winter changed my BC, which along with not being as good as I should have been on my diet shoved me up at 176 right now which seem to be unable to shake. Very frustrated. I am a low carb eater who recently decided to get back in the low carb plan.

So who is with me? Sure hope to get a good support group going here. I could use it!

Hi! I'm at 176 too! Yay, I'm not alone! I too have been stuck in the 170's for about a year. But to be honest I have not been really trying to change my lifestyle… until now. I am LOVE carbs so that diet plan never worked for me. I am a calorie counter, and it always works for me. I still get some yummy snacks w/ carbs which stops me from binging.

I would join the group! I just joined so I am getting familiar with the layout of this website. Definitely not an expert on how to join groups or subscribe to stuff yet. But I'll keep a look out. Good luck! Michele

Hi Michele! Glad to hear that I am not the only one battling these annoying 170's. Hoping to have some more people join up in this thread, but if not, its just u and me! :-)

I have decided not to weigh myself til my usual Monday weigh in. Watching the scale every day is just messing with me. But scared to death that I will either not see a loss at all next week or even a gain.

I am at 177.4

I just got into the 170's and I am looking foward to the 160's! I can not imagine what it will feel like to be in the 150's, but I am looking foward to finding out. I have not been there since 1997.

I am really strugging to get out of the 170's, i think once I hit 167 I will literally cry with happiness (that means the 11 stones for us in the UK, I havnt seen the 11's for a couple of years now and the older I get the further away I seem to be getting!!)

Peaches5577 - I know the Almighty power of the scale! I promised to weigh myself only once per week since our weight fluctuates so much each day. But of course I weighed myself when I wasn't scheduled and I went up .4lbs. I know it doesn't sound like much but I was REALLY, REALLY depressed. It took several hours of reading inspirational stories of people reaching their goals before I snapped out of it. I try to stick to once a week weigh ins. Good Luck!

Blondie 160 - I know what you mean! I have been in this 170 zone so long it will be much more of a mental victory to get into the 160's than a physical one. I have faith we can keep each other motivated! Good Luck!!

I am definitely battling the 170s I got down to a glorious 167 a year ago, but ever since then I've been yo-yo-ing between 172-179. If I was able to get to 165 I don't think I'd have a problem with bouncing into the 170's again..and losing 7 pounds seems easy yeah? Not really

Dolly - Yes, its amazing what a mental hold this horrible little piece of metal has on me! You have no idea how bad I want to step on that scale though, and am afraid as heck to at the same time! Have really thought about going off of measurements alone and staying away from the scale, but honestly do not know if I could actually follow through with that one.

SummerLove - You and I are so alike! I did exactly the same thing! Even got as low as 163 this winter and was SO happy. Then with the wintertime lack of enthusiasm, wonderful nachos that my bf made all too often and a change in BC, here I am now. Lets fight these pesky 170's together!!!

Well, the day of truth came and after being OP for 8 days, as well as starting the C25K program, I am up a lb. WTF?! Not impressed, completely depressed and ready to cry. So as of this morning 177.2. :-(

So glad I found you all! I was 175.8 this morning, and really feel like if I could just get to 169.9, I would feel like I'm "on my way"! Does anyone else feel like your body just thinks it should be hovering around the low 170's?
