Help! I want the cake :(
Someone brought in a delicious chocolate cake and it has been calling my name all day. I know I shouldn't eat it but I need someone to tell me how not worth it it is.

you said it yourself!
"Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be."
Looks like it's time for THE WILL today
I just love your quote...I need to copy that But I feel for you...cake is one of my downfalls.
It.Is.Not.Worth.It!

Imagine how icky and upset you'll feel after you eat it. It's definitely not worth it.

Girl, it will not taste as good as you think it will! As soon as you're done, you'll regret it and want to kick yourself in the butt.
What often helps me is to focus on how many calories it is versus how many calories I burn in the gym. Granted, I'm just starting out again, but I burn 225 calories in 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. So I think, "Seriously, Katie? You want to spend 30 minutes on the elliptical tonight to make up for 5 minutes with a piece of chocolate cake?"
You can do this!
p.s. In the future, you should keep a low calorie treat nearby. I bring a 100 calorie cup of pudding with me to work, so if my cravings get too intense, I know I'm not screwing up the entire day on one snack. Good luck!

Check how many calories it is and think about how much you'll regret it. Yesterday two of my coworkers wanted me to go out to a Mexican restaurant (my favorite) with them. I didn't want to be rude so I went and drank water while talking to them then picked up a salad on my way back. What helped was reminding my self how good it felt when I weigh in and have lost weight. You can do it!!

Here's my strategy with stuff like that. Wait it out. If you can just wait, someone will eat it before you have a chance to, saving you the decision.

I've heard "people" and "articles" state that the first two bites of something are always the most delicious and fulfilling, and that after that our taste buds just kinda don't register the taste as good as the first two bites were. If you think that you can get away with just having a tiny piece that consists of two bites, do it! Savor the two bites and be done with it! But if you are like me and eating two bites would lead to eating two pieces (or half the cake) then don't do it...it's not worth it if that ends up being the case!!

You're doing so good! You dont need the cake!
Trust me, I had a cookie the other day after giving into temptation, and it...didnt...even....taste....good.
so on top of guilt i had to deal with disappointment.

I'll admit that I had 3 smalls bites. Felt really ashamed, but then I realized I would have normally eaten a huge slice and I was kinda proud of myself for being able to stop at 3 bites. At least I didn't have to obsess over it anymore.

No shame there. In my opinion 3 bites is a really healthy choice, both mentally and physically.
