This thread is to keep ourselves accountable for month of July and to do the SHRED! Anyone can join no matter what day they are on. We can tell each other what's hard, what we do, and point out that Natalie totally cheated on level 1!!!
I'm on day 12 tonight, but I think once I finish I'll be on Level 1 again.
So far I have lost 15 inches! (3 stomach, 3 boobs, 2 hips and the rest on arms and legs) and 11 lbs on the SHRED! And I just started level 2... (Biking was involved).
So get those bums a working on an intense workout and lets SHRED our inches!
I going to finally complete the shred this month! Well, at least I'm hoping to! I go through the first like 5 days, haha, last summer but then left the DVD at my mom's and was at my dad's for a week. Anyway, I know have it on my Amazon Instant Watch, so no excuses!
I'm officially starting again tomorrow morning and am actually excited! But that is probably just because I haven't felt the burn yet!
Yay! I'm going to start the Shred on Thursday. I plan on not doing it 30 days consecutively, but breaking it up so I do the Shred Thursday-Monday and do Zumba on Tuesday and Thursday. I love doing Zumba, but I'm itching to feel the burn that comes with toning.
I've been doing the shred as many days in a row as I can. I started off at level 2 but could only manage to do it 2-3 days per week...so I don't even know what 'day' I'm technically on. Well last week I did it 3x, and this week so far I've done it 4x, and will be doing it again tonight! I've only lost about 2 lbs since I started doing it, but I'll be happy if I'm down to 120 by the end of July!
I did L1D2 this morning and did better than the first time. I used lighter weights (3lbs rather than 5) during the large muscle, small muscle combos and it made a big difference. I was able to complete the whole thing. I got out my 10lb weights and used them for the chest exercise.
I also wore tennis shoes and a double sports bra. It made the jumping jacks a lot easier to do. I am still having trouble with some of the cardio moves (butt-kicks and jump rope), so I am jogging in place. It was better today so I am hanging on to that.
I am looking forward to doing it tomorrow. It is a tough workout, but feels so good to finish.

I need to use 3lbs as well. Amazing how much harder it is with just a little extra weight. XD
Mimi: Good luck dropping 10lbs in a month, especially at your height an weight. Don't be too discouraged if it doesn't happen. It's harder to lose weight the closer we are to our goals. XD
ANYWAY, I skipped day 13 the other day due to some room mate conflicts. Went on a walk instead XD
AND I'm going out of town for a camping shindig in the mountains. So I won't get a chance to do it 'til Wednesday. I plan on lots of hiking, and lots of avoiding bad foods for the holiday XD
I did Level2 Day 1 today. HAHAHA. It was funny. Way harder than level 1. Hopefully tomorrow goes better now that i know the moves. I had to do part of it without weights (I only have 5lbs and they are too heavy for some moves). Can't wait for it to get easier.
I just finished day four of level one and after tomorrow will be switching from my two pounders to my five pound weights. I can't decide if I am going to regret it or not
Ellie: Good look switching weights! You can do it!
Level two is kicking my butt! I am so sore. I have to part with soup cans because my 5-ers are too heavy. My face is like a tomato for like an hour after. I hope it pays off!
I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm on Day 4 Level 1. I started with 3 lb weights but I misplaced one of them. I have 8 lb weights but there's NO WAY I could get through the whole workout. Anyways, my arms and back are sore but not unbearable maybe I should be pushing myself more? However, I am covered in sweat when I'm done so I know I'm working hard!
I may not post in everyday here. But I started doing the 30ds this Monday. I will be doing it shortly. I am on level 1. I'm using 28 ounce diced tomatoes for the weights right now. I'd like to add more, but not quite ready yet.
I also have been doing Zumba and pilates along with some bike riding.
How long do people generally stay on level 1. When did you feel it was the right time to switch up levels?

@tdiprincess, I'm going to try to spend 10 days at each level. However, at the end of 10 days I feel like I'm still struggling I might continue for a couple more days.
