only 100 or so to go...
3 months ago, on march 14th, i had that doctor's appointment. the one where the doc told me if i tried to have a baby at 300+ pounds, and with my current medical issues, that it could be fatal to myself or the baby. she was hesitant to prescribe birth control pills due to elevated blood pressure (130/80 -ish) and only gave me a 3 month supply. told me i had to go back in after my wedding for a recheck of the blood pressure and weight.
on june 6th, the nurse recorded me at 272 (a loss of 32 pounds from 304 the last time they weighed me - both weights fully clothed and after food), and a blood pressure of 124/78 (ish - not quite sure of the bottom number anymore) ... but i'd brought in my cuff from home that records for several days, due to my 'white coat hypertension' and showed her that i'd regularly been getting readings of 110-115/70-75. i got my new prescription and a very happy doctor signing it
based on my wii fit (what i use to weigh) i've gone from 300 (well, 300.2) down to, today, 266.3 which is close enough for me to say 34 pounds!
i haven't been perfect this whole time, and i did gain back 7 pounds during my honeymoon (and then lost all 7 in the following 2 weeks!), but i'm not giving up this time. i'm too proud of my progress and i love to celebrate every pound!
thanks to you folks here at 3fc for the support and motivation, it's a major major help, knowing that i'm not in this fight alone. you all are amazing!
