Default New here :)

Hey everyone.

My name is Jenn, i'm 26 (27 this month) Momma of 3 boys from Ontario,Canada. I am starting on the simply filling technique tomorrow and am pretty excited. I've been trying the points plus plan for 9 weeks and have seen little change in my weight. I am going to follow this plan and see where it takes me. Along with having 3 of my own and a hubby at home I also do home daycare. To say my life is hectic is an understatement and tracking every point can be difficult.

My husband and I are going away for a week in August.. we have never been on a trip like this (Dominican) and I'd like to lose 15lbs by the time we go.. (crosses fingers!)

I'm looking forward to chatting with all of you and learning all the tools I need to be a success!

~Jenn

Jenn and Lovely. It's always good to see new folks here. I followed Simply Filling for awhile but am back on the old CORE. It seems to work better for me; however, I know that all of WW's plans are good.

Jenn, good success to you getting 15 off before vacation. That's very doable. Just do what works for you.

Lovely, post here more often. I'd love to get to know you better.

I just filled up on fresh watermelon. Life is good.

Hope all of you are having a good day.

Hi there ..welcome to our group.
Everyone here is supportive & full of good ideas .

I have been doing variations on the core but I have been doing the not gaining/not losing thing for a long time.
I may brush up on the true simply filling or core and try it the way its supposed to be done. I'd love to lose 8 lbs this summer and maintain til fall & then lose a bit more.

How is the old CORE program different from the simply filling?.. I find witht he points plus I'm eating way to many bad things .. My goal is to fill my body up with healthy foods. I know I could just eat the healthy foods and add the points but knowing that I CAN eat the bad stuff as long as I count the points is not a good thing for me. lol. I will try this for a few weeks and see what happens.

I'm finding it helpful to eat "consciously." I try to ask myself what the food I am eating is doing for me: is it taking care of hunger in a healthy way, or is it feeding some idea of comfort or "treat." Try to eat only what is good for you. Eat LOTS of vegetables, more lean protein, some fruit-especially berries-, more whole grains, drink lots of water. Get the sugar and "bad" fat out of your diet. I bet you know the drill!

(I lived in Toronto for over 3 decades, then came back to my roots in Texas a year and a half ago.)

Jenn, old CORE allows 35 weekly allowance points. Also, ketchup, sf/ff pudding, and a few other items are core but are not "Simply Filling."
