Default Is this because of my period being due?

So the last couple of days, I've been wanting more food than usual and thinking about food, where I'm normally fine and get on with my day, and having had my weekly weigh-in today at my weekly group meet, I'd put on 0.05 of a kilo. I've been good all week, working out or exercising somehow pretty much every day, and sticking to my 1600 calorie limit (or even slightly under) apart from having some extra bread and a piece of apple strudel on Friday. :x

After being confused and down all day about why I haven't lost any this week (I always look forward to typing in a new number for my 3FC ticker every week ) I wondered.. can this be down to my period being due? I always feel the urge to snack my face off around that time of the month, and I was thinking the weight might be water-retention.

Am I making a mountain of a molehill? This has put me off-kilter all day. :/ Maybe that's another sign I'm due on - the blues!!

I'd say it's definitely a good possibility. My appetite always goes up the week before my period. I know it's because of my period so I just drink more water and tea to help fight the urge to snack. It's a good bet it's water. Don't beat yourself up over it. As soon as your period is gone I bet you'll be back down plus some.

My TOM was this week. I have wanted every sweet thing in sight but I fought the urge. I scared to weigh in bc I dont think I've lost bc Mother Nature came to visit. So it's a good possibility .

My weight fluctuates like the ocean tides when it's TOM. I have gained as much as 13 pounds of water weight due to TOM! I hate TOM!!! Ugh. But because I KNOW it's TOM, and not because I've gone off plan, I try to remind myself "it'll be gone in a few days".

A month or so ago I was really beating myself up about my inability to control my urge to eat carby and sugary food. It ends up it is happening about 3 days before my period starts. It is actually happening so feircely that I can predict when my period is starting b/c of the urge to eat. My period started 4 days early this month- but exactly 3 days after my bingey night.

Gosh, you guys make a very good point here. Everything that you're telling me you have is what I get too! Aw, thanks for the input. I'm really hoping that this time next week the weight's gone down!!

In terms of sugar craving, I usually buy an extra ripe mango and cut a slice of about 50 gs everytime the cravings hit and usually mango and tea is enough to curb it.

Even though I'm on BC and only have TOM every 3 months, the cravings (although reduced) still find me. Ugh!

Okay, I was due on my period! I came on it on Monday, and today was weigh-in day again. I'd lost 2lbs. Feel soooo much better now. Guess it WAS water retention! Thanks again for the support, guys! <3
