Default No Fluctuations?

Does anyone else's weight not fluctuate? I mean, I can eat plenty of salt and have no water weight gain......last night I even used my finger to get the extra salt off the bottom of my popcorn bowl. My period does not cause me to retain. I just weigh the same, day after day, to the tenth of a pound unless I have a loss. My scale doesn't have a memory. It doesn't store my weight. (I made sure it didn't when I bought it, so nobody else could look it up! LOL)

I don't fluctuate much, but I'm not as solid as you. Everyone's different!

Me either. It must be something with the scale. Once in awhile, it'll go up or down a tenth or two, but never like a whole pound or even half pound, and usually it is the same until I get a whoosh. Come on whoosh! LOL I think my whooshes are getting smaller though. Just 1.5 pounds this last time. The pattern seems to be one loss every two weeks. Beach season is coming body, get ready!

While I have some play in fluctuations, I don't seem to see a real strange fluctuation (or big one) unless I'm eating a premade food.

Like in the beginning of March I ate for 3 days premade sour kraut with pork. For some reason, I gained like 2 lbs for those 3-4 days. Just last week I made taco meat for taco salads (with homemade salsa verde) and the seasoning for the tacos gave me 1 lbs up for 3 days as I ate that for three days. Otherwise, I don't notice it that much with other salt I add to foods.

I don't really gain pounds during tom either, I tend to stay the same with minor flucuations it doesn't bother me because it comes with the territory but during the month when my weight goes up and down, even by like .2/.4 it makes me lol even if it meant slower loss I would love to never bounce up lol you are lucky

Aside from a three-week stall last month where my weight fluctuated within a 2.0 lb range, I generally see it stay the same or go down. If it goes up at all it's only 0.2 lbs. I don't know how steady it would be if I ate varying amounts of salt day-to-day or something though because I don't really do that.

As an example, starting on 3/27 my daily weight has been (in lbs): 147.4, 147.4, 146.6, 146.6, 146.6, 146.4, 146.4, 146.4 145.4, 145.2, 145.2, 145.2.

I like that my body behaves this way - my three-week fluctuation/stall drove me up the wall!

Oh, I am certainly not complaining LOL Although, it is frustrating to not see ANY results down for weeks at a time when perfectly on plan, but I can see now that is just how my body loses, so it is easier to handle the stalls when I know a loss will come. It is just I see so many people say their weight went up 2, 3, or even more from eating fast food or it being that TOM, and I never see anyone else say they just stay boringly but blessedly the same LOL

I will sometimes step on my scale holding 20 pounds of weights, and then get on again with out them. I do that when it seems "stuck" during the day.

Oh, I do fluctuate during the day. I don't normally weigh myself more than once a day, but I have a few times just for reference and it is definately different in the afternoon and evening. My (almost) daily morning weigh remains pretty static though. I say almost daily because I have grown bored with the daily weighing since I know I won't see a change but a couple times a month, so I skip it a couple days a week now. Although, I still do it most days just on the off chance of an unexpected loss LOL

It's hard for me to fathom that it's even possible to have that kind of stability. My weight has actually become less stable since I've been eating more whole foods. I assume it's because real foods tend to weigh more than processed foods (more fiber, more water).

Also (extreme TMI warning), my body has never worked on a schedule when it comes to the potty (You could set a watch by my husband's bathroom habits). Some days I pee tons. Some days not. I don't poo daily.

As a result, just the weight of unshed water and undigested food and waste is responsible for quite a lot of variation. I suspect that during my normal TOM weight gain, I would gain even if I'd eaten nothing the previous week. When I lose less than 6 lbs "that week" I celebrate, because it's almost inevitably "hiding" a loss (my normal weight gain "that week" is 8 to 10 lbs").

Over a month ago, I decided I wanted pork rinds and beef jerky. Both are salty, but darn it, they fit low carb, so I had them. Combined with the timing for TOM, I gained 12 lbs in 48 hours. It was just water, but I'd never been that miserable before in my life...and it was completely my fault.

Normal TOM w/o increased salt intake, I can expect a 5-6 lb gain.
