My first mini goal - setting myself up for success
I've been stuck in this particular rut for so long that I'm going to set some small, doable steps so I can taste success again. I'm shooting for 2 pound increments here. I can use all of the support I can get.
Mini goals are soooo much easier to focus on than just having long term goals. Mini goals help me a lot. You definitely are in the right place. I'm so glad I see more people "setting [themselves] up for success" because a lot of times wer end up setting ourselves up for failure, which i've done soo many times. my mini goal is every 25% of the way getting to 180. Hope to see you on here more and more!
I am deciding a goal and mini goals right now. I like the idea of the 10lb scale increment.
Bunnabear, I am with you. I need that encouragement! You can do it!
For the first time in a while I'm seeing the scale move a bit (a very little bit but it's something), but better yet is that I'm motivated to eat better and be more active. I'm limited with activity but I've found some things that are working. Hopefully I will begin to see some improvements and stay on the right path!
When I started posting here last week I had 7 pounds to go to my goal and had been stuck there for about 5 months. Switching to a whole foods diet (work in progress) and getting back to some light activity has lead to a 2 pound decrease in the last week!!! I feel like I'm back on track.
I lost 2.2 this week for a two week total of 8.4. Next week I will hopefully hit the 10lb loss mark and that will also put me under 270. I plan on going for a pedicure to celebrate!
A pedicure sounds like a great idea. I've been trying to think of some non-food rewards when I reach my mini-milestones. I'm just so excited to see the scale moving again!
