Default He's gone.

I'm sad to say that on March 14th we had to put down my daughter's 9 yr.old cat.

It is extremely hard to put the animals/pets that have been a part of your lives for years and you've taken care of them for years and you've loved them for years, down.
Even though it is the best for the animal.
It still hurts really badly

But, I had a dream about him and I think highly of gut feelings and I believe that dreams can have meanings behind them.

I'm really sorry to hear about your loss.

Dealing with the death of a pet is so hard but know that you did the right thing and your cat is at peace.

Pets are very much a part of the family and there's no way for this type of situation to be easy. Best wishes to your family and I hope you find comfort in knowing that you gave your cat the best life possible and made a lot of good memories.

Hang in there and look through those pictures and cry your eyes out for a while ... I had to deal with that twice so far (both were 12) and I can STILL come to tears when I think of it. Take care of yourself.

I'm so sorry. It is so hard to do but logically you knew that was the best thing for the kitty. I know as I've had to do that with 2 dogs & it just about rips your heart out. Our pets give us unconditional love, period. Kitty has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and she is in a good place. When you can you will remember the good "stuff" and you will always carry her in your heart. Thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Cats are so very important, especially to kids.

I did not plan on replacing my 2 after they passed away, because I was so stressed out with working and housekeeping.

My 2 kitties died over 6 years ago. One was 18 and one was 14. They died within a month of each other. One from kidney failure and one had a stroke.
Nobody was smiling for a couple of weeks. The home atmosphere was sooo gloomy.

So without telling anyone I went out to do some baby kitty looking. I found one kitty in an animal shelter. He had been abandoned and was so very thin.
I brought him home and set him down in my child's room.
My son smiled for the first time in 2 weeks!

A couple of weeks later I found another little one at another shelter and brought him home. Now the first kitty was so very happy to have a 'brother'.

I still have them both. They go outside and hunt together. We have no traffic in my area, so they can both enjoy the great outdoors.

They bring a lot of joy to the household. I hope you find a new little one soon.

Honey, I have been there too - many times - because I couldn't imagine life without my animals. Some stay a long time, some go way too soon, but their lives, and ours, are so much better because we were together! Hugs. The next animal who needs you will find you!

I am also very sorry... We recently lost one of our dogs so I can sympathize with you.

I always figured animals have shorter life spans to make sure we appreciate them while we have them.

I'm so sorry. Believe me, I know how it feels. I'm without kitties for the first time in over 20 years with the passing of my last old girl in January.

I'm planning on doing some serious kitten hunting starting in June, if some don't find me first The solace is knowing there are other kitties out there that will need loving homes.
