Default Hello im new here

Hello my name is Julie and i am new here. I am a 27 year old mother of 2 boys. I am currently 297 and started my weightloss journey at 333 in january 2003. I am just generally trying to eat better and be more active. I exspecially watch my carb intake. I am doing this with my mother and she has lost from 230 down to 191. I am exspecially interested in getting some new meal ideas that are low cal and low carb.

Hi Julie,

Welcome to the group! You're doing great so far!

I don't have any real meal plans to share, basically I just do what you're doing. I watch my portions, cals, carbs, and fat. I also get plenty of water and try to exercise everyday. Mainly walking and also light weights and ab work.

I'm 26 and the mother of one daughter, 5. I started out at 320+ lbs. in August of last year and have now made it down to 192 lbs. So just remember, it can be done!! Stay strong and keep up the good work and your efforts will be rewarded. Good luck and never give up, you're worth it!

Welcome! Have you checked out the low carb boards. Ruthxxx moderates them and she is a hoot! Again WELCOME!

What did everyone do for exercise today?? I did a short workout with my exercise ball and 5lb weights. For supper I had baked stealhead trout and steamed broccoli for supper. And a nice little snack of sugar free jello topped with lite cool whip (if you like jello works great for a sweets attack).

You and your mother have a lot to be proud of! You have have a great 3-4 months. Good job to both of you.

I am walking for 30 minutes on the treadmill daily. I started out at 20 and have worked my way up to 30. I am following a 20 percent calories from fat plan.

Look forward to reading about your progress!
