Default How far have YOU come?

I'm sure many of you can relate to me in this. Sometimes I don't realize just how much I've actually accomplished. It's easy to look in the mirror and still see all of the things I want to change. It's easy for the number on the scale to have not changed enough, or for the .5 inch here or there to not seem like much. But when we add it all up, I bet we've all come further than we've realized. So let's take a minute to appreciate how far we've come, rather than focusing on how far we have left to go!

So, in two months I have:
-lost 16 pounds
-lost 2.7 points from my BMI
-lost 13.5 total inches
-gone from 20 minutes/2 miles on the elliptical, to 45 minutes/6.5 miles
-gone from struggling through 20 push-ups to doing 30 easy ones (and I'm not talking about "girl" push-ups )
-worked out a minimum of 4 days each week, though most have been 6
-stuck to my calorie counting/limit 95% of the time

So what about you--what have you accomplished?

Great post! It has been over a year and I have gone from a size 12 to a size 00 and 0. From 175 pounds to 112! Every pound gone is a celebration...every day keeping off the weight is a celebration!

Since April I have gone from 258 to 209 and size 24 to size 16/18. I have gone from not being able to keep up with people walking to being able to keep up fine. I increased my weight training and cardio workouts from 2x to 3x a week. I went from walking on the treadmill holding on to being able to run at level 4-6 for 15 minutes straight. I look and feel a lot better!

In two months, I have:

-lost more than 30 lbs
-gone from doing absolutely no planned exercise to working out 5x/week
-worked up from barely getting through 30 minutes at 0 incline on the treadmill to 50 minutes with incline up to 7.0
-lost inches from my waist, hips and chest
-gained muscle definition in my arms and calves
-stayed below my planned calorie limit every single day
-switched from mostly white bread, pasta and rice to mostly whole wheat bread, pasta, rice and other grains

Thank you for this thread. I needed the reminder today of the things I have accomplished.

Thank you for this thread. I haven't lost a pound in 3 months and I'm struggling with bingeing. I feel so beat down. I could really use the reminder that I have accomplished a lot.

-I've lost 68 lbs.

-I've lost 22 inches from my hips, waist and chest.

-I've gone from a size 24 to a 14.

-I've lost a whole shoe size. ( That was a loss I didn't expect. )

-My BMI has gone from 43.4 to 32.7.

- My cholesterol has gone from 267 to 167 without the help of meds. My BP was 140/90. It now averages 125/70. My resting heart rate is in the 40 to 50 range. I don't know what my blood sugar is now, but it must have improved because my PCOS has improved. I've had a period every month for the last 8 months.

- When I started walking, I couldn't go 10 ft. before my legs hurt and I was sucking wind. Plantar fasciitis made every step excruciating. Now I can proudly say that I've RUN 5 miles without stopping and have run a mile in 9 minutes and 53 seconds.
