Default Brown rice...

So I've just bought myself a cute little rice cooker. I was wondering what the proper rice to water ratio should be and how long to cook my rice for, since I'm completely inept at cooking anything.

Anyways, I've tried using my rice cooker twice so far and the first time my rice was way too dry and not cooked enough, and the second time it was kind of soupy and burnt at the bottom of the cooker.

Someone help? Please?

i bake my brown rice all the time.
rice - 3 cups
Chicken Broth - 2 lbs (a whole box)

Preheat oven to 375F
Boil the broth first in a pan
Place the rice in 8" casserole dish. Por hot Broth over the rice and stir.
Cover with foil and bake in the middle rack for 1 hour (or 1h 15 min).
Fluff with fork and serve with butter (for more moisture).
