I just started Shred today. Sorry I do not have any solid advice for you. I plan on doing Shred 6 days a week. 10 days on each level. I am on level 1, on day 11 I will go onto level 2. Everyones body is different, some people can move up faster than others, your body will let you know if it is ready. Good luck!

I may try 3 days this week, 3 days next, then move up to 5 days...and do that on levels 2 & 3 also. How'd you like your first workout?

Day 1 was really good! I loved the workout. I was shocked, I thought I would have a harder time. I also did Jillian's 6 week Six-Pack dvd (back to back with Shred). There were a couple exercises (plank) in there I couldn't do and did another exercise in exchange for it. All in all it was a great work out day! Today, my body is feeling it! My legs and arms are sore. LOL

Your plan sounds good, let me know how it is working out for you. I will be doing Shred and Six-Pack again today (after I drop the kids off), I will let you know how it goes! Have a good day!

I'll def. let you know! I just woke up and I'm so sore...It took me (what felt like) forever to sit down with my breakfast...almost spilled coffee everywhere! haha! I'm also still really hungry. My cousin said I should buy some protein shakes or bars so I don't clean out the kitchen after each workout!

Finished Day 2 of Shred and Six-Pack, OMG am I sore! Haha Call us the sore group! I make protein shakes every morning (1/2 cup soy milk, 1/2 cup apple juice, baby spinach or kale (about 1.5 cups), 1 scoop of protein (Muscle brand), 1/8 cup walnut halves, 1 tablespoon psyllium husk, 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed, and 8 oz of frozen fruit. Keeps me content until lunch (with a snack in between).

I'm on day 4 of Shred, I've been trying to do it every day, and it definitely gets easier by this point. I had a look at level 2, slightly apprehensive, lol.

Is it just me, or does anyone else enjoy the soreness the day after a big workout??

I usually do...yet, I'm fighting flu symptoms (too much traveling/climate changes) and I'm not sure if I'm THIS sore or if its the flu thing...All I know is I tried to sit down on the couch with my coffee this morning and it hurt like the dickens!!

Good Luck, CosmicGal! You'll love it! I feel stronger after ONE workout (yesterday) ...when I got on my exercise bike today, I was a total speed demon! Boosted endurance and all!

I have had the dvd for awhile now and I think I'll like use it. The routines are suppose to be pretty short if really really intense.

okay good! Im not the only one who is sore! Haha tomorrow will be day 3 for me on level one. I have been so sore yesterday and today. My legs hurt and my arms. It was sorta painful going up stairs today! I probably looked hilarious going up and down. Im sure it will get easier though. That workout is intense! Gonna try for 6 days a week.

It'll get easier CosmicGal! I find it helps to count down from 30 secs if you find a particular circuit hard. And your endurance will skyrocket. Just listen to Jill - when it hurts the most, that's when it counts the most! Push through it! Putting stress on your body will force it to adapt, and change.

Personally, on day 5 of the DVD, I can do triple the pushups that I could before!!
