Default 150s -- Where are you all?

I didn't see a thread for the 150s so it would seem that its time for one.

I started out in the 160s thread and while i am sad to leave my fellow 160s behind I am so glad to be in the 150s!!!

I weighed in today at 157.4. I have been sick all week and have not been able to exercise. I am going to try to get back to the gym tomorrow to at the very least just walk on the tread mill!

I'm at 154. I'm hopeful to be in the 140s by Christmas.

I just moved into the 150s today! I started a super intense Pilates class last night with my sis and I am feeling it today but right after class was over I felt normal for the 1st time in a week, it was nice. I've been going through some stuff and walking around like a zombie, last night I felt like my mind and body were finally connected again.

It is so quite in here. How is everyone. I am still hovering at 157.5. I gained some weight after being sick when I got back to working out. but only a poun and half.

I ran my first 5k today. I am happy with how I did 33:20. It was cold. I am going to keep trying to train and am hoping to do a 10K for valentine's weekend.

meoc7191 - Congrats on the 5K, that is a really good time! It's so funny but I just googled the Couch to 5K plan and thought that it had been a really long time since I logged in to 3FC. How did you train?

I, too, am hovering right at 157.5. At this point I am just glad I've been able to maintain through the holiday season. I am so ready to get my schedule and routine back! My Pilates class is back on this Thursday, we only missed the 23rd so that's good. This will be my 4th class and I can already tell a difference.

I loosely followed the couch to 5K program. I increased my running/walking alternative. I was in slightly better shape then a couch potato but not much LOL!

I am now starting to train for a 1/2 marathon. One of my goals for 2011. I weighed in at 157.2 . I can't seem to get past here. I need to pay attn more to my eating as I am getting my exercise in so the food must be it.

Default New here

Hi everyone! I am new to this message board, but now that the new year is here, I am really motivated to combat this battle of the bulge i've been waging with since I was in grad school! Hope to engage and interact with you all so that we can inspire and encourage one another.

I am currently on a juice fast (ending today thank god!). By Monday however, I will start a low carb diet and want to incorporate cardio 4 times a week. I hope that will jump start my weight loss. Right now I am 157 and would like to lose another 3 lbs by end of next week. Is that doable or am I being unrealistic? Thanks!

Welcome Stella I think that you could probably lose the 3lbs quickly especially if you are fasting. The additional pounds may not come off that fast. Remember to keep drinking water too. A lot of the first pounds off are water weight.

Welcome. stick around these Boards are really good.

So I have been seeing 158.5 on the scale for the past couple of days and decided it was time for me to start posting here and leave the 160's thread. I know I can tend to fluctuate but maybe knowing I'm part of this thread now will keep me in the 150s and reaching my goal of 155 by the end of the month

The 150's are slow! I've been here forever!!

I'm really hoping to exit by Saturday, but I think that may be a pipe dream. Based on my current loss, however, it's possible....sort of. If I make it, I get to take a picture of me with my 86 pound son on my back. That'll be how much I've lost and the plan is to take a picture of the two us standing on the scale with the scale reading my start weight. I've been looking forward to that since I started this! Of course a year ago the kid weighed less! I think I had to lose 75 pounds at the time, but darn that kid's growing like a weed.

I have been firmly in the 150s for about two years. I dropped to 145 for a few weeks last April, but gained it back. Next week I want to be out of them forever. Sigh!

I'm drinking lots of lemon water and green tea, in addition to watching and counting every single thing that goes in.

Default checking in

hi guys,

just wanted to give an update and encourage everyone's journey to weightloss.

so from jan 3 to jan 7 i did a 5 day veggie juice fast (primarily to do a cleanse than lose weight) where i lost a little over 7 lbs. i'm assuming that more than half of that was water weight. then over the weekend after the fast i ate mostly salad and incorporated meat (chicken) sunday. i caved and had one cookie too. that brought my weight up a bit but nothing too bad. however, since this past monday i have been on a very strict low carb diet (no fruit, sugar, flour, bread, pasta, rice, beans, alcohol, or dairy except for some hard cheese). the only kinds of meat i've been having are chicken, eggs, turkey, and tofu.

i've also been working out twice a day. all this sacrifice and hardwork has paid off so far as i've lost an additional 3 lbs and i think they're fat lbs as i think i've lost most of my water weight last week. although it's been only 4 days into my crazy diet (i'm only going to do it two weeks max and then start to incorporate certain fruits and brown rice) i feel like low carb is the key.

i hope to stick this out for another week and half and indulge on some brown rice soon! haha anyway, let me know what's been working for you guys, too.

Stella - can you send me information on the cleanse you did. I did a four day detox and that really helped jump start my diet. I was pretty cranky and mean so I'm not sure I'd go back to it. I'm thinking of South Beach since that was low carb with eventually adding back the fruit and things I like.

Default juice fast

the one i used was blue print cleanse. it's pretty popular here in ny. apparently they have a lot of celebrity clients. they also ship all over the US.

blueprintcleanse dot com

i picked level 3 (least amount of fruit/sugar) because i've done this before. it is kind of pricey but i was able to get a 25% discount with a code. i'm not sure if they're running any promotions currently. anyway, good luck with your cleanse!
